Dumanios' Civ Mod Thread

Updated Rome: they now have a more consistent artstyle largely derived from Coffeejunkie's Roman units. They still keep the Rome -> Italy transition in the Middle ages, using mostly Bakuel graphics here. Also I got rid of the Byzantine units here.

Next stop: Native America - I'll be messing with the North American nations all in a row, barring any special requests.

EDIT: I also tweaked the formatting of the OP and gave the thread a new name.

Updated Native America. They didn't need that much of an update, courtesy of the update I gave them in 2016, but I still wanted to make them slightly more distinct from America in terms of late game vehicles used.

Next stop: Aztecs/Mexico

Updated the Aztecs. Unlike Native America, these guys really needed an update badly.

Now they use Bakuel's graphics for the Ancient through Medieval ages. In the Renaissance and early Industrial age they use tangjinfeng's Mexican units. In the Modern age they have a combination of graphics from Realism Invictus, Caveman 2 Cosmos, and Chugginator's Mexican units.

Next stop: Mayans/Central America

Updated the Maya. Compared to the Aztecs, they didn't need an update quite as badly.

With some new graphics from Realism Invictus, the Maya and Aztecs now have some different graphics in the Renaissance and Industrial ages, adding some well-need differentiation between the two.

Next stop: A pair of non-default nations from North America. Current plan is Canada (updated with some new graphics + adjustments to leaders and unique attributes to reflect Civ 6) as well as Dixie (just because I think they'd be a bit interesting).

Released Dixie/the Confederacy, based somewhat off StrategyOnly's version but with a new unique unit and some tweaks to balance and unit artstyle.

Artstyle I tried to make them match the USA. They start with Native Americans (Cherokee specifically, with Coffeejunkie's more generic Native Americans to fill the gaps) before switching to the CSA in the Medieval age. There are much more alternate historical graphics here than in the USA. I wanted to avoid large amounts of overlap between the CSA and USA, though this does result in there being less units overall for the CSA. Oh well.

Leader: Jefferson Davis (Philosophical/Protective)
UU: Sharpshooter (replaces the Grenadier, starts with Pinch)
UB: Cotton Exchange (replaces the Customs House, can be built on Riverside or Waterside cities, gives +1 commerce to riverside and water tiles, only +25% foreign trade route yield instead of +100%)

Next up: Canada update!

Updated Canada!

This Canada update not only carries some tweaks to the Canadian unit artstyle (simplifying it to Iroquois -> Canada with additional British flavour), but also sees some changes to Canada's attributes.

Leaders: Samuel de Champlain (Exp/Fin), John MacDonald(Exp/Org), Pierre Trudeau(Org/Cha)
UU: Mountie (replaces Cavalry, starts with Sentry, receives defensive bonuses, can upgrade into Mechanized Infantry)
UB: Microwave Station (Replaces Broadcast Tower, +1:c5happy:, +100% :c5culture: instead of +50%)

Next stop: I'm not sure yet.

Dumanios' missing civs.

Dumanios' missing civs.

Sweet! I've updated the links in the respective threads, and updated the OP of this thread.

Small update for Egypt, just a different Frigate and a new Artillery unit.

The other African nations will receive similar small updates.

Small updates to the rest of the African countries, mostly just adding new graphics for the Age of Sail ships.

Spoiler African ships :
