Dumanios' Civ Mod Thread

Native america's Units appear all as read globs!!:deadhorse:

That shouldn't be happening. All my modular civs are designed to be usable as full mods. I'd check the file structure to make sure Native America's artdefines are working the way they should.

EDIT: Native America updated.

EDIT2: Canada updated.

EDIT3: Hungary updated + reuploaded.

ALSO you files int unitArtsyles and unit art defines dont matched

native explorer is converted native

native AT infantry is AT infantry America

It isn't doing that on my end. It sounds like the files you're referring to are from separate versions (one from before today's update, one from after).

Poland reuploaded + updated.

Mercosur reuploaded + updated.

Been a while, hasn't it?

Updated America with a whole bunch of new graphics that came out in the years since then, as well as some that I didn't include back then.

This'll probably be the beginning of a project where I go over the other civilizations as well, except for England (because thecowwarrior's version is basically the perfect version already).

I suggest you forage RI for flavour units too, especially given the 3.7 version is freshly out. I don't generally release flavour units I make as separate downloads, but there's tons of stuff for many of your civs

I definitely will, especially for some nations that don't have much in the database (like the Mesoamerican trio).

In the mean time, France updated with a bunch of new stuff. I have a few more nations I've already messed with, but the pace will probably slow down after a bit.

I've got lots of Historically Accurate resources for Japan if you want them.

Happy New Year everyone! While the Civ series has marched forward over the years, Civ 4 is still going kinda strong. It's still my personal choice at least (and probably yours if you're looking at Civ 4 mods)

In the mean time, to inaugurate the new year, I've updated Zululand. They really needed it.

That sounds good. They'll most likely be next once I finish going through the African nations, which I'm planning to be Ethiopia, Mali, Carthage, Egypt, and a new one: Congo.

Updated Ethiopia, mostly just cleaning up the units involved and replacing the Italian units they had with more appropriate graphics.

Updated Mali in a similar way to Ethiopia, mostly a cleanup of units along with replacing the French vehicles with early Malian units instead.

Thanks for all the likes on my Japanese units. :)

These links I'll post here are more historically accurate than most others available, and I think the Sino Catapult will make for a cool flavor siege unit replacement.

Updated Carthage, with a more uniform Ancient era artsyle, replacement of French vehicles with Algerian ones instead, and a bunch of new graphics that didn't exist back when I originally made them.

Updated Egypt, mostly tweaks to the existing artstyle and the addition of new graphics that didn't exist back when I originally made them.

Released Congo, based a bit on Civ 6 and CivGold's versions of Congo. First new civ in a little while.

Leaders: Mvemba a Nzinga (Spiritual/Protective), Nzinga Mbande (Aggressive/Protective), Mobutu Sese Seko (Charismatic/Imperialistic)
Unique Unit: Ngao Ngeba (Replaces the Swordsman, +1 Strength, starts with Cover, +5 shield cost, DOES NOT have the city attack bonus)
Unique Building: Wene (Replaces the Colosseum, +1 Health, -20 shield cost)

Also includes a unique unit artstyle, with all the graphics from Realism Invictus I could fit, along with some more generic African units for late-game units.

This rounds out Africa. While I did make Ghana and the Luba a while ago, I'm not planning on revising them. I don't have the original files for them, either, so it'd be difficult to do them.

Next stop: Japan!

Updated Japan with an almost entirely new unit art style primarily based on Coffeejunkie's units from Ethnicae, with additional units from Matsuda123, Jarmrik, and Realism Invictus.

Next stop: Russia

Updated Russia! They now have Novgorodian units for the Medieval age, some newer graphics for the late Renaissance and Industrial foot units (courtesy of kine100 and Realism Invictus), and a bunch of new vehicles and graphics to fill a bunch of units that didn't previously have graphics.

Old Russia was just... not thorough enough.

Next stop: Germany!

Updated Germany, they now have a much more consistent Ancient era artstyle derived from Realism Invictus's Ancient era graphics. Medieval and Renaissance graphics are largely Coffeejunkie's German units from Ethnicae (themselves updated versions of Wolfshanze's), and the Industrial/Modern era has some new graphics courtesy of kine100 and Jarmrik.

Next stop: Rome/Italy!
