Sure i tried, same outcome... i am cursed to not play this dune in multiplayer
That BugOptions - Cannot locate setttings folder warning is also singleplayer problem :O
modName = "Dune Wars_fused_1"
displayName = "Dune Wars_fused_1"
Thanks man ! i am on it in a moment![]()
Did you check every file in xml/text?
@Tzenchor, davidlallen: Perhaps this is a consequence of RevDCM adding the Finnish tags everywhere and Dune Wars not having these. If we had a program to remove all the Finnish tags we could see if that resolves the issue.
ok, for some reason I've installed your game and the patch, and when I boot it up, I got a lot of error of info incorrection on tech, like Belovence, mentat logic, and others, when I boot up the map, I only get one error about mentat logic, and the UI disappear at game start twice, I think the download is screwed.
Edit: Yep, the download is busted, I've downloaded and install the game and patch again, and got that error once more about the incorrect tag's on Belevolance, Mentat Logic, Spice Ocean, Spice Coast, and many other locations. I can't even open the option menu too.
I had the same problem, download and install this version Dune Wars 1-9-1b, tell it to unistall the previous version.
Then install the most recent patch for now it is 1.9.1.12
Optionally you may install the music patch now (I recommend it but it is not needed).
Run the game, but beware that if you have the game on spanish or finnish you won't have nearly all the texts. If this is your case you'll have to run the Beyond the Sword expansion without mods, go to advanced>options and change your game's language to english, french, german or italian as you are more comfortable.
Another thing I remember from that is if i change the language to spanish or finnish, then change it to english, french, german or italian and last you try to change again the language the spanish and finnish options disappears. Note that to effectively changing the language adhoc you have to open the "load mod" menu and then hit back.
Sorry this is a mistake on my part. If you locate the file Mods\Dune Wars\Assets\Python\Contrib\CvModName.py the two lines:
Code:modName = "Dune Wars_fused_1" displayName = "Dune Wars_fused_1"
Should have "Dune Wars" instead of "Dune Wars_fused_1". I changed this while I was making the new version and forgot to change it back. If you edit this and restart the game you should no longer have the BUG setting problem.
I'll correct the download version so it doesn't have this issue.
