Woke up this morning and checked my preorder status on ebgames. Still says "open". I really hope they just diddnt update the website and it shipped last night. I got overnight shipping and was hoping to get it the same day it was going to be in the stores. Did anyone who pre-ordered for a-non store pickup get a status update to "shipped" ?

depends I was talking to them all day trying to straighten out why they kept declinging me. They shipped up until 5pm pacific time yesterday - if you are still open then they didnt get to yours yet and should resume this morning.

Seems the shipping for pre-orders was moved to today..Now it says 10/25/05 instead of 10/24/05

EDIT: orders weren't shipped. Either due to shipping or manufacturing error. I was told to call back later today and they'd have an answer for me.
Oh, well. Not like I'd have a chance to play until Friday anyway.

EB games just told me @ 8:15 am EST 10/25/05 that shipping starts today in stores tomorrow - hint seems the order was too big to finish yesterday - that is what EB told me.

I'm pretty sure that I'm inches from going postal on the good people of EB. From the time I left my computer here in London, around 12:00 to get lunch, to when I came back a scant two hours later, they changed the shipping date from 10/24 to 10/25. Granted, I have to have the pre-order shipped over here anyways so there's no way I get it for a few days, but it's still another day I'll have to go without.

All distributors of Civ4 are having a hard time handling calls from Civ4 fanatics, explaining the same message over and over again. Emails send back and forth are all standard "copy and paste" messages, hoping to keep customers satisfied.
My pre-order game from EBgames still says "OPEN". A bit frustrated and worrying, i just pop an email to them requesting for an explanation. Hahaha... Let's hear what they would say.

Some people are confused, I think. When you talk to EB (their main 1-877 line) and ask if you're order is processing, etc, they will ALWAYS, always tell you that "It's getting ready to be shipped right now." It's just a customer service spiel they're supposed to say. They've said this multiple times when I've checked in to see if my order was still processing. It just means everything is going smoothly, and you're in the que, someplace.

Yeah, Thats what I have heard fomr the company that I pre ordered mine. They have been saying that they were told by their suppliers that the 27th is the street date.
