EltNESIII: Some Assembly Required

Have you since got them in?

What Eltain said is correct, I was at a hotel, and I absolutely hate typing stuff on my I-pod.

That's why I have a droid with a qwerty keyboard. Once again, Droid Does, Apple Fails. ;p I'm so anti-mac that I use a sansa for mp3s.

But I don't blame Eltain, hell, no matter how dedicated I was to a game I wouldn't want to write an update on a telephone.

Huh? You don't blame me, or you're trying to get me not to blame Zelet? I don't blame him, i wouldn't do it period, but I'm sick as hell or else I'd just write the update. Yes, I can still get online and post things like these without writing coherent stories, psh. Sue me.

Nono I was just confused. No offense detected nor taken mon frere.

EDIT: Because I'm not the one using the Ipod, so I got confused.

Much better, thank you. Europe and everything related to it (map, stats) is done, just Asia and the spotlight to write now. I update stats as I go along, and map also, to track my progress.

I should finish and post the update tonight, however I cannot multitask for the life of me, so I need to stop my life to do the update, which is a pain. But expect it tonight, no procrastination, I swear.

EDIT: But I have a full day before that, so.

Who do you have orders from?

WESTERN WORLD

Tanresios ambition reaches new heights these few decades as rafts with colonists are sent out in many, many directions; north, south, east, west. While not many supplies can be carried on these rafts, some of them meet fruition, while others are lost at sea.

Alternatively, a series of mines designed for extracting ores from the ground have sprung up all over the mainland, funded by the Tanresios head council. A consequence of this is that a metal-coined based currency economy slowly emerges as dominant (however outsiders still find this bizzare) and it centralizes the Tanresan government somewhat.

The Bascland Union, a relatively new country, has had much less to work with, and much less to do. Expansion and the increase of their military has been the height of excitement in this country.

Along the west African coast the trade between the Phoolan and the Barbers blossomed recently, and the Temple of Mareas rises higher.

Spotlight Region said:
The Avranti continue their aggressive expansion with several new wars, but with the dismissal of several hundred warriors from their military, who will be given plots of land in Bretta, to Avrantisize the region and further dillute the remaining population still resisting the spread of the Snake Mother.

The continuing war to spread the Snake Mother religion to all neighbors meets difficulties with massive organization on the part of locals in the regions of Brittany and southwards; those which caused problems for the Avranti decades ago.

The Domic tribes met a period of minor stagnation, as the government is conflicted internally concerning the affairs of the west.

The Cyseean Imperium stagnates. (income not banked; no story.)

Phoolan Devi finishes its long-awaited trade routes in the west, and their own internal projects, however at the same time neglecting their upkeep, causing their many sailors to go rogue. The large boost in income has caused the sailors to become pirates, blockading the Phoolan Devi and Cyseean trade routes.

A bumrush for bearherding takes place in the Wovvolk which also coincides with a rather climactic battle in the south.

Stoney arises to challenge Wovvolk, an equally crazy bear-obsessed people.

A kind of Wovvolk-style expansionism has swept through the Scythiad parts of the world, causing much, much unrest among the various tribes surrounding the country, and causing much problems in expanding.

Ilium stagnates. (income not banked; no story)

The Spartan Empire marches it's armies through the rest of Ilium totally unopposed save for in it's own government, though it meets extreme prosperity as the flow of wealth that once occured in Ilium now occurs in the Spartan Empire itself. Countless tribes and several major city states have asked to join the Empire because of this, and have been accepted into it.

The Cypriot Empire stores most of it's income in anticipation of events yet to come, and expands more in the northeast.

The Lyscovian Sultanate met success this year, as the Sultan Salihm the Cruel rose to power, bringing with him a reign of hardlined military expansion. Those that wronged the Sultanate in the past paid with the lives of their families, harems, and precious positions of power; they had been reduced to nothing more than eunuch stable boys and water carriers for the outlying towns.

An Imperial Highway (if there can be such a thing in the copper age) has begun being constructed throughout the Sultanate, in an attempt to unify the economy greatly and connect the metaphorical dots. It has worked to some extent, but still requires further funding.

Aneb-Hetch eperiences the first mass desertion in the army due to lack of upkeep in history. Parts of the army stay, demanding extra pay next turn, or a serious revolt will take place.

Considerable comparative progress happens in the Nile Dynasties, as they have paid their upkeep. Their agriculture project surpasses that of Aneb-Hetch.

Massive opposing armies arise in Tabriz and the Pontian Empire, ready at any moment to clash.

EASTERN WORLD

The Kettick Empire finally finishes its great agriculture project, boosting its income greatly. With these changes come many social changes, as well- Theocrats have begun taking control of various cities and regions to a greater extent, aliening their leadership with some and strengthening their appeal to others.

The Kutak bank their earnings. Something big is coming in the near future- a war, a new revived people. These peoples plans for their neighbors have them raring their ugly heads, uniting for defense.

The Qing Empire spends its revenue on its agriculture and expends much effort into expanding north, which was met with little more than failure due to their extreme gains last attempt.

The Tairon Empire finishes their Monarchs' Statue project, which gains them income through increased tribute from the "lesser" tribes, and expands on the western coasts of Qing.

The Arkital continue with their expansive tendancies, and begin an agriculture-based project in their new yellow river basin territories.

Military Events:

The Black Serpent

The Avrantic army, or the Serpent Army, as it has recently become known, was met with the unexpected raising of several opposing warbands, who attacked in the night and burned several camps, killing hundreds of Avranti warriors without casualties of their own.

(-1 Warband, Avranti)

Stoney War

An army of crazed Wovvolk warriors numbering in the thousands descended upon the "green" fields of northern Stoney, only to realize it had been abandoned, the entire population (and all livestock and half-grown grains) had been moved south, to the place where an army was being amassed to fight off the long known of threat of the Wovvolken.

A series of ambushes on Wovvolken camps and make-shift villages in the green green pastures of northern Stoney by Stoney warriors resulted in an odd kind of stalemate, wherein no Wovvolken casualties were suffered due to their massive army and higher training, but also their territory increased.

However, the one-sided battles also saw the increase of the Stoney army through volunteers even farther south. The Wovvolk war machine is known far and wide, it seems.

Scythian Expansion

A group of 8 warbands swept east across the plains burning villages to make examples of them and lining the major road-type migration routes lined with piked bodies. This has lead to much resistance from the surrounding tribes.

(-3 Warbands, Scythia)

Pontus's War

The Pontian Empire raises an army of 4,000 which it added to its pre-existing military, while similarly Tabriz raises an army of 6,000. The two forces clash in several small groups along the Tigris river, though no clear victory has been reached between the two mighty forces.

Umche watched the sun. He knew the priests would determine something from it, but he did not know what. He had finished his work tending to the flock, shearing them until they were all skinny and void of wool, early. He was always a fast worker.

He was sitting on top of the roof of his family's hut. He could hear them all below, obvlivious to him. He looked to Mount Udna now, where he believed the priests would be communing with God now, or prophesizing something. Oh well. For the record, he wasn't smiling just at this moment.

We have very good reason for doing what we're doing. We want only peace.

OOC: LOD, it seems a stat miscalculation on my part gave you extra trade routes with no units available for such a task. You still have the route, but no income from it, is all, until you put a raft onto it.

Still OOC: I will still edit diplomacy here, I'm just not home for the day yet.

My apologies for the late update. Stats should be up momentarily. More diplomacy to be edited in above post.

I'm done playing this. Sorry- can't get into it.

Good luck.

Why has nothing I ordered happened?!?!

Immaculate: Sorry to hear that, Immaculate. I was really enjoying watching your faction grow.

Luckymoose: Odd. Damn you tinypic. Thank you, though.

Milarqui: Orders received ;) early bird catches the worm.

Abaddon: Too little investment, NO manpower, and you didn't pay your upkeep to boot so there's a rebellion-type thing going on now.

See signature for new order due date. I apologize for the quality of the last update, re-reading it now I would not appreciate playing this NES I realize. I guess that's what still being somewhat sick will do to you?

Abaddon: Too little investment, NO manpower, and you didn't pay your upkeep to boot so there's a rebellion-type thing going on now.

Too little investment? Well how much would it cost? We are having to guess here. Simply not mentioning it at all in the update is an odd one. I would have much prefere'd you message me asking for me to amend things, rather than have everything fail!

No Manpower? There is nothing about man power in the stats?!

Where has the AH-LS Raft gone?

If you were going to fail all 3 of my side projects.. where did the money go? Why didn't you use it to pay the army or something?

1: I sent you a PM about your spending being screwed up.

2: no warbands or rafts- hence it was you throwing money at it, hence no manpower.

3: the problem is on LOD's end, wrong stats no one caught, that I have corrected. I somehow deleted my OOC mention of it in the update, I'll edit it back in.

4: The money hasn't been lost, with more investment it'll become a project.

I was wondering about the stats, I know that I have invested heavily into bearherding, and I also know that I tried to overspend last turn so I'm not saying that this is an error, just asking about it. Because it says I spent like 7SP, and I remember spending any of that that I made in the last two turns on bearherding, along with the small amount of EP available after upkeep, I was just making sure that it is accurate that I am only 3/12 into this process, much as I was at the beginning of last turn.
