If you are a teenager now, then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Post about your self-deprecating and bleak "phases" and if you care, elaborate on them. :)

Mine was emo posts on a weblog I had and random crying. You know, standard non-cutting stuff.

I'll do Lucy's for her!

<Lucy> i cut my nails into claws one time when i was a ******** teenager <Lucy> and scratched the . .. .. .. . out of myself

My Emo/Goth phase was Sophmore year in College. I was into Marx, Naussbaum, facebook, pokemon, and everything! In high school I was too busy playing video games and drinking :D

myspace and xanga usually catered more to the emo and goth people

Well I wasn't emo or goth or anything, just generally mad at most things and whiny.

Oh I also hated religion with a deep passion, which led to some interesting conflicts.

Never was much of an emo kid.

I guess the closest I came was in 5th grade when I died my hair blond, then black, and I kept a diary.

who the hell is Lucy?

the only phase i really went thur as a teen was my rap only phase back then i would only listen to rap and i had a pokemon phase but that ended when i was 12

I was never emo or anything. In high school, I was a ridiculously big jerk though. I was one of those guys that the type of guys who do things like Columbine put first on their "to kill" list.

I'm perpetually depressed, does that count?

if it isn't clinical depression (diagnosed by your doctor), and you feel like you hate yourself or life is pointless then it does.

In senior year of high school I was a total ass. Obnoxious ass, to boot.

I was always saying some crazy shock jock, sarcastic stuff to people.

Now that I look back on it, it was probably because I was just fed-up with high school and decided to take it out on my fellow students.:crazyeye:

The only phase I had during high school was my liberal phase, you know the whole pinko commie phase wanting everyone to be equal crap. If you look to my older posts I'm sure you can find it. Thank God I grew out of that phase and found God.

I listened to black metal and some gothic music, I only had black clothes with skulls, thorns and stuff and wore make-up. I had deep feelings of self loathing and I hated "popular culture", lulz. Looking back on it now, the sadness and hurt were awsome feelings, because they were so strong. I rarely feel emotions that strongly anymore.

Phase? It's not a phase for me or many people I know, it's life. Then again, we all hate emo and are only 'goth' in the broad sense of the word. Grunger/Metaller/Industrial is better fitting for myself.

Around here people go cruising through town in cars and kick the living crap out of emos:lol:

They deserve it too, . .. .. .. .ers!

No Emo phase
I just got depressed and read lots of books ..... it was one of my more constructive phases really. :king:

Are you serious? This comment makes me sick.

Yeah, it's so funny we live in a world where gangs of chavs roam the streets beating the crap (in some cases, to death) anyone who looks different. Chavs are so cool!!!111
