ENES: World of Magic II

Hmpf. I have New Year's eve free, so I was hoping to get a good deal of work done then, if not post a complete update.

Well, OK.
Order deadline is now 11:59 AM GMT+1 Monday Jan 2nd 2006. Update should get posted later that day. Next update is back on the weekly track, orders due Saturday, update Sunday, and I'll try to get back to the twice-a-week schedule that was at the start of this NES.

Azash, 'cities' (on the map) are really large metropolii, so you can only have as many of them as the first number in you Economy stat. Otherwise assume that the landscape is dotted with cities.
If you really want to add two new cities, give me a position and a name, and I'll add them to the map.

Everyone else, why don't you start naming stuff in your area? I have a separate map layer for names, so it's no hassle for me and won't interfere with borders or anything.

P.S. First page is now updated for the order-senders. And stuff.

On a second thought I'll try to send orders before New Year,as I will be sleeping during 12:00 AM(blame the delicious booze and chaos month december).

Suggestion:How about we use education stats, science stat for researching techs and army for increasing training?

You just gave me an idea for a story Erik,we shall see will I write it down or will it vanish in a puff of alcoholic smoke...

I already *do* use the scientific education stat for techs.
Military Training is what your common soldier does when he's surprised. The spectrum ranges from 1) stall with mouth open, scream, and give the enemy time to knock him senseless. to 2) Raise pike already in hand and put it at the throat of whatever threat has just appeared, because it obviously didn't give the password.
Military Education is having good generals, meaning your troops don't get surprised.

Write it down, you'll get a bonus, remember?
Oh and decide to do something about the artifact, eh?

Or give it to me! :) Me wants an artifact! And yes, do write stories!

So do we spend science points or eco points on researching techs

We shall see about the story, that cherry brandy is looking at me funny :crazyeye:

Eco points are the only thing you ever spend. I think there's more than cherry brandy at work here...

Ok I admit I ate some saucy pizza as well, then whats the point of increasing science education if we spend eco on researching techs?

Please bear with me as I'm tired and my atention level is low:

0%||||||||||||||||100%

Science education allows you access to techs. At the moment, you can't research anything.

Also, how does research work? It's gone a bit over my head ;) D'ya mean we get access to the techs when we reach a certain science level? We don't have to research them individually?

Mars Stood Upon the Great Titians Head, Gazing Upon the Preist and Infentry Assembled. He Could Feel the the power of thier Belief flowing into him, Giving him power. He would not Fail them.

"Today, We Set Out. Our Power Grows Strong, and Your Hope and Dreams, Keep Our nation growing. . but the heritics to the north refuse to listen to us. we must Make them." Mars tuged on his cape, then pointed to the north.. "Today, We March forward and CRUSH Their Pitiful Army. They Will Be made to Listen. So Says Zuse. SO SAYS I, MARS, GOD OF WAR!"

and yae, the crowd cheered, and set forth to do battle.

I'm not entirely sure myself, but I will try: I THINK spending eco on Education (Science) will grant access to new techs. Then, you spend (one) eco on the actual tech. The techs currently available are listed on the front page. But this does not tell what Education (Science) level is needed for other techs, and what kind of techs that is.

Also, what's with the attached map? Do you want to shrink your nation?

Due to unexpected events, here is the map.
I've been away from the computer account with the map and the stats for a while.
So there is no set of events, at least not yet.. You can probably guess a lot from the map.

Sorry.

PS: Why so few orders? Are people losing interest? I'll start having to NPC people soon.

Probably because of New Year. When can we expect the events?

No expansion huh?Or did I forgot to mention it in my orders.

Short version of events: New Rome advances slowly on Tylvanni, fortiying their position.
All rebellions continue to grow, except the one in House Leonhard, which is rather ruthlessy quashed and flees outside the borders.
Olympus and the Black Fae invade each other simultaneously.
Cleric, your artifact turns out to be a huge, self-replenishing medikit, the sort that you hook up to a hospital and you need never worry about medical supplies there again. And yes, your orders did not include expansion.

Long events probably early tomorrow, so 12 hours or so from now. Sound good?

I've updated most of the PC stats. Complain if I got something wrong, because I probably did.

It costs 1 eco point to research a specific tech and you must be at the stated tech level on the first page.

Everybody should remember that they can spend their normal eco points PLUS the bonus listed on the right. Banked points disappear when spent.
Yes, eco grows slower (3/0/5) than other stats (3/0/4). This is not a typo.

People ordering more stuff than they have eco for lose the last order on their list.

Uh, according to your new clarified rules concerning tech research, I can't have Modern Weapons yet. I REALLY don't mind, but I guess you have to fix this, or people might start to scream about it. Or do I get the tech because I paid for it befor the rules were changed? Pretty please? :)

Also, is Mass Levy I a prerequisite for Mass Levy II, or do they stack or neither?
