Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

This mod is FANTASTIC, but there is one thing about it I would like to change:

Is there a way to rearrange the PlotHelp tool tip box that appears when i hover over a hex, so that it is not tied to the courser anymore? I would prefer the box in the corner of the screen instead, somewhere next to the minimap, where the terrain info is displayed in the unmodded game iirc.

The reason for this is that I do not like to wait for the tool tips to appear when I need them, but if I set the delay to 0, they get really annoying by obstructing the view all the time.

Removing the PlotHelp folder apparently removes all terrain tool tips entirely, including the vanilla ones...

So can I either rearrange the tool tip box to the minimap, or use all the features of the enhanced UI, except for the PlotHelps and in combination with the vanilla terrain info?

It seems to happen randomly but more often with other mods (Infoaddict, light touch etc. Only 2 affect tiles (Lake Victoria fix and and Krakatoa/other wonders fix)

FYI a new EUI update v1.24e is now available
  • CityView: no more "buy plot" mode, can always purchase plots (same mechanism as Beyond Earth)
  • Fixed some bugs
  • Miscellaneous improvements
I was wondering in EUI how do I change which icons are in the top right, for me no DiploMenu drop down is showing up and only looks like this http://puu.sh/dxJCu/2bdbb2ee95.jpg and it's affecting which menus I can access and such
as per design - click stuff on top panel to acess corresponding screen
I love the Mod but for some reason my icons for Demmographics, Diplomacy etc on the top right of the screen begin to multiply, untill eventually they stretch accross the screen and i can no longer see Demographics because there >30 icons at that laditude. Plz help lol
this old bug has been fixed, update your EUI with latest version
Very small "glitch" in the latest version. The building maintenance is given as negative values when you move the mouse over their icons in the city view and tech tree. \Skodkim
per design (you do lose gold every turn)

Just made an account to say thank you for this mod! It's really great to have all this information without opening all kind of menus/panels.

Also, I want to ask if the progress bars for science, culture, great person, golden age are intentionally made to go over the bot bar? For me it looks a little strange, maybe it's just my OCD. I've tried looking into files and make it like this:


Maybe you can help me find those code lines and change them. I've looked into TopPanel.xml and tried changing stuff there, but didn't worked.

Hi bc1, would you be able to add to your CityView.lua file support for my Piety & Prestige Monk specialist, as you have for Gazebo's Civil Servant specialist. It would be much appreciated :)

I would like to, if I knew how. :/
I had a look at the PlotHelpManager .lua, .xml files and some modding tutorials. I've never modded a game before though, so I could not figure out where the placement of the box is determined, and especially not how it is positioned relative to the cursor... Did I even look in the right places? :D

So how does one "purchase" a plot in the new version? I do not play BE so I have no idea what you are talking about when you refer to their "mechanism".
 
What it means is that the buttons to buy plots are visible all the time, not just after clicking the "Buy Plots" button first.
 
Has mod compatibility changed from the new update bc1? I noticed that you changed the City View a bit, I was wondering if that and your other changes helped or broke other mods.
 
For an instant, I saw that old glitch where the yields partially disappeared after doing something (and I don't know what triggered it, or why the problem went away after a turn or two). I just remember that there was a bug in older versions that had that same effect (something to do with selecting workers and/or city view, or similar... not sure).
 
Don't know if someone else has done this, but this mod works on the new Linux release by renaming all files/folders to their lowercase equivalents and dropping in the DLC directory. Wrote a script to install from the zip at https://gist.github.com/mjkoo/0eb70888b6085b3f65f5 .

Thanks for the script. There's an error on line 10 though. SteamApps is supposed to be lowercase: "~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Sid Meier\'s Civilization V/steamassets/assets/dlc" :)
 
I only have enchanced user interface and whowards dll installed. When i start the game all i see is food for the tile yields. Any help?

There's a UI folder in whoward's DLL mod, deleting it cleared the yield bug issue for me.
 
Being a fairly new civ5 player, i really miss the adviser recommendations on the tech panel, trying to disable the tech tree by deleting the folder does not work for me, i do get the tech panel but get a blank tech tree screenshot: http://prntscr.com/5lndrq on brand new games as well as loading old saved ones.
 
When using this awesome mod I no longer get any tooltips. Already tried setting the delay time to 0 seconds. I also tried removing the "PlotHelp"-folder. Does anybody else experience this behaviour?
 
I finally broke down and downloaded the most recent version of EUI. I love it, but the one thing I miss (unless somebody can tell me where to find it) is the list on the right-hand side of the screen, when you open up the icon that shows the # of turns left until the WC vote, that lists the Civs and their scores followed by all the CSs with their influence bars. It's the window that you could then click on the top left button to go to Diplomacy and the top right button to go to the WC.
 
Hey great mod! What files do I need to delete to remove the yellow "buy tile" interface that shows when in city management?
I find it a bit hard to view.

I tried deleting this instance and restarting and it removed the "buy tile" buttons but now it doesn't show the units and buildings or the city output on the left side of the interface.

Click the Globe Icon in upper right corner (where the number of turns to next WC meeting is displayed).
 
Is there any way to re-enable the tech panel and production panel instead of having to go into the tech tree/ full city screen
 
I recently purchased a win8.1 std. x64 tablet and installed Civ V (G&K and BNW) and all is well. I then try adding mods, so I install infoaddict with seemingly success. Then I installed EUI as infoaddict didn't have all of the info I wanted.

Now, the games constantly crashed to desktop after 10-20 turns.

I searched the thread with no real help for my issue. And skimmed the EUI forum with no help either.

Anyone know what's going on?

I installed InfoAddict from the mod page in the game. I couldn't seem to find EUI in-game and had to download it and manually install it. It seems installed fine, as far as I can tell all the features are working as intended. It looks awesome.

I hope someone can help me get this going. I really need this mod to even play.
