No worries, just trying to help you out. I am doing a full reinstall of game, delete My Documents folder associated with Civ5. Last manual mod I put it and removed was vox populi. I had some issues with it. It might have left some stuff behind when I removed it.

Did you try the 1.28 notification panel with the rest as 1.29? I haven't tried yet, wondering if it's worth mix/matching the two versions or just doing 1.28

Is there anyway to bundle up notification like "citizen born" and "city yields" (from vox populi) just like city state updates?
 
I am really enjoying this mod as it adds a lot of needed info to the main screen. I only have one issue with version 1.29 beta 6 - I can no longer view terrain information. When I mouse over any terrain it just displays "words" without the quotes. All other features of the mod work great and I have no freezes or other issues with it.

The only other mod I am running is the full and latest version of Vox Populi dated July 27, 2017 . The mod claims that it installs the EUI mod with the installation but it doesn't work unless I also install EUI 1.29 beta 6 and place the UI_bc1 folder in my game's DLC folder. The 6a Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI) of Vox Populi gets installed.

I am launching my game in the correct manner of going through the Mods option, all the correct mods are checked and enabled, clicking continue, and setting up or loading my single player games from there. I also deleted all my old save games and cleared the game cache after updating to the latest versions of your mod and Vox Populi. I followed all of your instructions including fully deleting the old version before installing the new versions (both mods). I even wiped my MODS folder and started clean. This is all with new games (all old save games were deleted).

Is there a .lua or something that I need to change or delete? Are you planning on releasing a Vox Populi version of your mod?

UPDATE: After further investigation it looks like Vox Populi didn't install it's version of EUI in my game's DLC folder. It couldn't find my Steam installation I'm guessing. I'm not using the default path but it is registered in Windows registry. I downloaded the manual install and replaced the UI_bc1 folder with the one from the manual Vox Populi (July 27, 2017) download. This fixed the issue. It would be nice if you could make a Vox Populi version as there are a few dozen differences in the .lua files and a few XML differences. This way players would have the best of both versions. The EUI version that comes with Vox Populi is from mid 2016 so it's missing several improvements from your EUI 1.29 beta 6 version. I can manually merge all the changes from the .lua and .xml files but I don't know what I'm doing exactly since I didn't author either mod.

At this point in VP's development, they have their own user interface mod based on bc1's work. Any bugs you experience with it are best directed to the VP development team (i.e. Gazebo).
I don't have any issues with it (as I mentioned I found the issue and fixed it manually). I'm asking this author to release a Vox Populi version that includes his latest features and improvements. Vox Populi uses an old version of EUI. I compared the .lua and .xml differences between Vox Populi (July 27, 2017) and EUI 1.29 beta 6 and it is possible to merge the two to bring it up to date, I'm just not the best person to do so (the author is however).

Your experience may vary, but I only had this issue when I was using the 'Really Advanced Setup' mod. Something in that mod doesn't agree with my mod setup (mostly Vox Populi). I stopped using it and the problem went away. If you aren't using that mod then there may still be an issue. Sorry if this doesn't help.

Great mod- however, in the latest beta release I don't see the name of my city or change queues.
to all: do you have mod conflicts or multiple copies of EUI installed ?

at around line 151ish, you can see the event types. and to the right of each event, there's the type to bundle it within. I think this is how to change it.

Thanks for the reply but I have no idea how to edit the file, I guess I will just stop adopting Progress to reduce the notification clutter.
 
Odd thing -- I had just selected my policy for the turn, and the button in the lower right that prompts me to select a policy wouldn't go away even though I had picked one, even right-clicking it. But selecting a unit made it go away.
 
Is there any way I can turn off the tile improvement icons(i.e, the icon for farm, mine, etc.) from being shown when I hover over the city banner? Thanks in advance.
the only way right now is to delete the CityBanner folder

it's an issue I'm trying to track down - would you have a save game of that by chance ?
 
I can't find the save where that happened and haven't reproduced it yet, but I have one where clicking the policy button doesn't bring up the policy page-- This is with the "policy saving" option on. It should still bring up on left click though, and it's not. Minor issue compared to other one. I'm using 1.29b7

I'll get a save if I get the other, bigger policy problem again.

I also had a crash at turn 34, but loading save from turn 30 and doing the exact same chain of actions did not reproduce it... I wondered if it might have been related to me dragging the map around while other turns were processing, but again I couldn't reproduce even with that. Very frustrating, but I actually have not had many crashes with this version so far.

On non-bug related notes, I really like the movement previewer thing. Though with my mild colorblindness, the blue color is sometimes hard to tell from a river :p I love the feature though. On the movement preview, would it be possible to also add a "move to" target of where it's going to end up on a multi-turn move? There are mods for this, it just seems like it would fit in here.

Also, the big icon on the barbarian encampment is pretty hard to distinguish from the barb camp itself -- the barb icon is handy though, when a CS has a mission about barb encampment, and it zooms you there, but then you can't find it again, such as in fog of war. Also not sure of the plans for the big icons you have -- it doesn't go bonus resources, but if I turn of the vanilla resource icons and leave just your big ones, then there's no icon on bonus resources. It looks like you're going for an icon presentation kind of like is on the strategic view, but on the normal view, which is neat-- maybe have an option to highlight or have like an X icon or something on unimproved resources?

edit: also, I don't remember the right ribbon for players highlighting the current player's turn.. maybe I'm just blind. It's neat though :p

edit again: for the big icons, could you include natural wonder icons? In vanilla, it only shows their icon the first turn they're discovered. I'd like to know where they are permanently

my game constantly crashes in the first turn when its the turn of the barbarians, somehow , turning off the fullscreen in the video settings managed to run a game with no problems, but when i tried to play with infoaddict v22 the game started to crash again in the first turn

I don't mean the crashes are frustrating because they happen, they're frustrating because I couldn't reproduce it. Are there any logs that I can send when it happens? The save game doesn't help much since it doesn't happen again on reloading.. even on my own computer.

For the multi-turn pathing, yes it previews before you move -- I mean, after the order has been sent, to be able to select a unit while they are in the middle of a multi-turn move, and see where they are going to end up after the order has been issued.

I don't mind the size, but I hope they can be toggled on/off so I can see what's underneath them easily. Unit icons are sort of positioned above them, but the unit itself is blocked from view. And I noticed the red pillaged, nice touch :)

As for the policy window not opening with policy saving -- yes, it can be dismissed... but I was not right-clicking. I left-clicked, which should have opened it as normal.

edit: also, idea for the Unit ribbon... you can select to hide/show units types... maybe have a select all/deselect all types? Deselect, show all warriors, reselect all.

still these crashes are frustrating

the destination, yes that's possible, but the path, no it's reevalated realtime by the game
edit: also, idea for the Unit ribbon... you can select to hide/show units types... maybe have a select all/deselect all types? Deselect, show all warriors, reselect all.
yea I never took the time to finish the unit panel
