Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

I love this mod! Thank you! I never used any Civ 5 mods before, but came across this about a year ago and started using it at v1.28g. I fell in love with it right away.

I upgraded to v1.29a when it came out, but found it to be slightly unstable so switched back to v1.28g. I decided to check this site today and discovered a new v1.29h so downloaded and installed it. It appears to be more stable and a good improvement, except for one thing: The "ENACT" messages for election results merged the results for the two proposals into one message, removing the detailed results that show how people voted.

I feel this is a bad change. Keeping the two detailed messages with election results was much better, as you got some idea as to whether or not it's even feasible to try to pass a proposal. Merging other messages such as resource locations was fine as it could reduce many message into one, but election results will only ever have two messages, and both messages carried useful information. Please, please, please revert this back to separate messages.

Thanks again for this super-great mod! It's a definite must-have for Civilization V.

Hey sir, thank you for this amazing mod. I really think it adds a lot of quality to the game. I am having a small issue with the mod however. It is the following:

On the loading screen, before a match or a loaded save starts, normally (Vanilla) you could hover over the 2 special buildings/units of your chosen civilization and see their abilities. With EUI you don't get that information any longer. You get it in the "Set-Up" menu which is amazing and very much needed, but it would be cool to have it back at the loading screen too. If your not playing for a few weeks/months and load into a game, most people will forget these abilities, so it would be much needed to have that "hovering-information" over the special civilization objects back. Please add them back, it's the only thing that keeps me from using this masterfully crafted UI. Thank you in advance for taking it into consideration.

In some Civ 5 multiplayer groups it is forbidden to use interface, showing, that a unit spent all the moves. Is it possible to manually disable this function?

Hello everyone, I downloaded, and was successfully able to run this mod the last time I played this game (two or three years ago)

How do I check which version of the enhanced user interface I'm currently using?

Huh, default game shows your action points as well, such as 2/2 or 0/2

The files you downloaded are in the folder which has a name containing the version of the mod, in my case its the "EUI v1.29h" folder. The Readme.txt also has this information...

Please have a look at the above screenshot I made. Someone posted the same issue a few days ago, so I decided to make a screenshot of it. In the latest version 1.29h, the hovering over tooltips for "unique cultur objects/units" is missing in the loading screen. You can see that underneath of "Rammbock", there is only the name "Rammbock" repeated, but the description is missing.

Overall great, but how do I get rid of the city icons??

I love everything that this mod does to death, but that is one minor annoyance I wish I could toggle off.

@bc1 could you please let me know if there's a quick way for me to remove that icon by editing one of the files? I'd be even more so grateful than I already am. Thank you very much!

I can confirm this exact bug in my game too!

That's IGE, not EUI

Edit: nevermind, I realized that my version is out of date at this point, so no bug reports here x)

game version is 1.0.3.279
I have all expansions and DLCs, playing on PC,

tried to update EUI (and rebuild the mpmp) to play VP multiplayer with the mpmpm, now when I want to host internet game it asks me a god damn smtp password which I never entered or used, refusing to do anything when clicking accept and knowing that smtp is for pitboss games, not internet games
what is going on?

can't move units in version 1.29h, in 1.28 working ok
after deleting Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC\UI_bc1\InGame folder working ok, but without some functionality

VP is not compatible with the latest EUI - use the version included with VP.

I haven't experienced any problems, so I would guess there is something about your setup that is conflicting with EUI.

Is it better to remove \InGame folder in 1.29h version (it's not my idea, someone else had the same problem) or just use the oldest EUI?
I used to play VP + EUI 1.28g and from what I remember, errors popped up in the later turns, so I couldn't continue the game.
New version is:
More stable and reliable than old 1.28g ever was, it has better performance and more functionality:
  • bug and crash fixes
Logic tells me to use version 1.29h and delete the InGame folder (especially WorldView.lua and WorldView.xml files) or just not use EUI at all...
Is this folder very important? What are you advising me?

I believe the InGame hack is related to making a modpack. But I think your problem is much more fundamental - VP is not compatible with the latest EUI 1.29.

Depending on exactly how you attempt it you will either be missing a large number of necessary changes to EUI for it to work with VP, or you will be picking up a mix of 1.28 and 1.29 files. Either way, it won't work.

I will just use 1.28g with latest VP
