EQNES: Civ3

yeah i'll do that once there are more cities. For now all the cities are on the nation post.

JAPAN:
Bank and increase gold
Expand southeast w/ 250 men.
expand northwest w/ 250 men.
keep 500 at capital.

ORDERS:

Send 300 warriors south towards horses, send 100 east and 100 west send another 100 north. Keep 400 guarding homeland.

Bak/increase WC

Two... uh... three?.. Anyway, some questions:
- When do you plan to update?
- Will resources be on the map?
- If I conquer someone, will he respawn somewhere else, or will a new civilization appear somewhere?
- Also, will there be Civ II-style civil wars, if a large nation's capital is captured?

Story:

The city of Carthage, center of the world! Lord Hannibal, son of the great Hamilcar, has taken control of the fledgling city which lies on the coast of the Sea of Carthago and the shores of River Phoenicia. Under his guidance, the elite Warriors of the city are sent north to explore lands beyond the Fields of Utica, south to seek coastal territory past the Fields of Tyre, and still others are sent, following the River Phoenicia itself.

Meanwhile, the remaining Warriors have orders to fortify the lands from possible barbarians -- uncivilized nomads who destroy anything and everything.

Orders:

1) Send 200 Warriors north to the Fields of Utica. There, they are to follow the coast and claim more land for the city-state.

2) Send 200 Warriors south, past the Fields of Tyre, so that they may accomplish the same task.

3) Another 200 Warriors are to follow the River Phoenicia and claim yet more land for the city-state.

4) All remaining Warriors are you defend and fortify within Carthaginian territory -- and Carthage itself -- to protect it against uncivilized brutes.

5) Bank and increase economy.

das:

-update will be tomorrow.

-the little Hs on the map are a horse resource.

-he wil not respawn, he will be dead. Another civ could appear later if you decide to make an nPC out of the land of a defeated foe.

-Civil wars... hmmmm.... i don't think so if the capital is taken, however if civilian or militart support gets below 50% you run the risk of an attempt at a coup or uprising, which would start a civil war.

Can someone point out which nation I am? I'm modestly colorblind, and I can't tell the difference between most greens (could you use only one green in the future, please?).

Cuivienen, you're the one alone on an island.

hmmmmmmm, i don't think that's a real good idea with the form of economy i used. However, you don't have to buy a tech all at once, you can pay over time using part of your availible gold.

hmmmmmmm. What are other players' opinions on that?

ur idea's good, or that's my opinion

I agree.

And now, a random fact.

---

Look farther below for the random fact.

---

A random fact: The Atani calendar is a most interesting one. According to their beliefs, Otherworld - the non-material world of the gods - rotates around the Earth. Each such full rotation is a "turn" (Turn One is 4000 BC). Note that the amount of time one turn takes decreases occasionaly. Atani religion implies that one day, the Otherworld will hit the Earth, and that would be the end of all.

K, thanks.

Orders

Send 200 Warriors north on the eastern coast, another 200 north on the western coast, another group south on the eastern coast and a final group south on the western coast. Bank and increase economy.

The Crymeolani people name the Plains they dwell on the Plains of Dath. The sea to the east is the Sea of Tirani and the ocean to west, the Coruscan Ocean.

update will be tonight, assuming i have 50% of orders.

starting update now.

-World Report-

The Americans, expanding south along the Potomac River, have run into the minor Potomac tribe, which have taught the secrets of The Wheel to the hardy American explorers.

The people of noble Carthage have founded the second city of Tyre in the lands to the south of the city.

People south of Granger, the capital of Hooligania have joined that civilization and formed a new city. (up to blenderboy to name it.)

-OOC-

The nation colors for Arabia and Hooligania have been switched to avoid potential confusion. Japan and Evilwarmanland have also been switched for the same reason.

To clear things up, there are no city improvements as that would make things too complicated for a hybrid NES.

As another note, it makes things much easier for me when updating if you include your nation name with your orders.

More information has been added to the front involving Citizen Support. Expansion negatively effects Citizen support. Similarily Despotism decreases Citizen Support by 1% each turn.

If anyone is good at putting names on a map, i could really use some help as the physical map is really annoying me when i try to put things on it. I'd PM you the names for each place if you put them on.

100% of the orders, we're off to a good start :)
