Escaping from detention?

How have you people gone about escaping from detention? I just ran away and hid in the library behind the bookshelves when a teacher tried to give me detention today. Any better or more subtle methods that can be used?

go to the nurse and say that your not feeling well after vomiting in the bathroom.take a day off and hopefully the teacher will forget it,if he or she still methodically wants you to continue the punishment,just make a sincere

Well, the coolest place to hide would be in the girls locker room, but their screams would draw the attention of the teacher youre trying to avoid.

Remember if you hide behind a curtain to make sure your shoes arent poking out underneath.
