I recently been hearing about how Muslims would constitute one-third of the population of Europe by 2050. I doubt that a Google search will bring up many unbiased sources, so I'm asking somebody to please list some arguments for or against this proposition. I am interested in geopolitics so I want to find out as much as possible about this sort of thing.

Who cares? I'm talking about future demographics due to immigration.

Yeah and I am talking about a little common sense.

Clearly the Native Americans would rule North America forever, as demographics (taken 1000 A.D.) have shown that not one European lives there! Clearly the way things are now will never change!

I'm asking YOU for a little common sense, please.

It is impossible to say as it is dependent on far too many things.

Maybe we should talk about Eskimos constituting 50% of European in 2070 then?
I mean, who knows what happens, right?

Of course, there are certain things called trends, and I am sure that a model showing the Muslim population of Europe will show a dramatic increase of Muslim-European people over the next 40 years. Given the fact that a large proportion of immigration into Europe is from Muslim nations (North Africa, Middle East), and Muslim families tend to have 2x to 3x as many children as non-Muslim families, I would say that this topic deserves discussion. Stifling debate is never good, in any instance.

Yes, but the models that show the Muslim population increasing so dramatically are based on the idea that current trends will remain constant and proportionate to size over the next 40 years.

The easiest prediction to dismiss is "everything will stay the same for no Raisin."

It can be if the premise of the debate is stupid.

Yes, in your eyes, the premise for this debate may be stupid. But the whole point of debate is to enunciate one's views for the opposition, in the attempt of changing their position on the issue. No matter how ludicrous a proposition or belief, it is worth being open to and examining, because prejudices can very easily be proven false if examined thoroughly enough. I may be inebriated right now so I apologize for any lack of clarity.

Lets see, the Muslim countries have some of the lowest fertility rates in the world, which means Muslim immigration to Europe is going to stop if it hasn't already. This means Europe is not going to become majority Muslim anytime time soon.

Are you enjoying this? For what reason? Do you just get off on hearing conservative viewpoints?
