Expanded Dynamic Civ Names (EDCNs)

Also, Leoreth, India should be alive in the 600AD Scenario.

Because then I could test their post-600AD DCNs without loading 3000BC starts.

Either Leoreth added this SINCE 1.11 or you have added these outside of the SVN. I just checked and no, they are not there. The Moors have no special vassal names for anyone.
Done.

The vast majority of the Moorish vassal names you suggested are a repeat of Arab vassal names. As such, I let the Moors use Arab vassal names in most cases and added 3 unique vassal names for the Moors:

Good thinking. Very nice.

I'll add this to the modmodmod section.

Some names I've suggested before, for the hell of it:

Communist Rome: Plebeian Republic (Instead of "Roman People")
America, vassal of Rome: Province of Canada
Argentina, vassal of Rome: Province of Patagonia
Brazil, vassal of Rome: Province of Amazonia

Generic American Vassal: Free Associate State of X
Theocratic America: State of Deseret

The Moors also need their short description changed. Unless they're vassalized by a civ with a specific name, they become "Protectorate of Moors", which is weird.

These are not possible because Rome and Italy are the same civ in DoC. It would have to be Italian Republic, etc.

Theocratic America: State of Deseret
Good ideas. I will add these.

To what, exactly? "The Moors" is as good as it gets IMO because this civ represents a series of different polities some of which do not even have geographic overlap with each other IRL.

I suggest changing the Moors short name to Morocco. If they ever get vassalized, they don't have Cordoba anymore.

Still, Morocco comes from the word Moors. Spain isn't called Spaniards. Protectorate of Spaniards. Protectorate of Moors. Protectorate of Morocco.
Moors rarely lose Morocco.

Just because they aren't in Morocco doesn't mean it doesn't have to do with it. England has a UHV to settle the world, doesn't make them not English.

Yeah, but England's short description is not South Africa or Australia or anything. It's England.

The Moors having a short description of Morocco is equivalent to England having a short description of Australia. But everyone seems to want it, so that's what it's going to be like.

No no no, nonsense. That's exaggeration. The Moors of Al-Andalus still were very close to Morocco. When the Moors went down to Mali, they still came from Morocco. You're putting it backwards as an example. Australia is to England as Al-Andalus is to Morocco.

The peak of Moorish civilization was achieved at Cordoba. Cordoba is to the Moors what London is to the English.

If you're going with ethnic origins then the original English, whether Anglo-Saxons or Normans, were Germanic peoples who came from Scandinavia, so by your logic the short description of England should be Scandinavia or the Norse.

OK. That was a joke. Sort of. :mischief:

We can use this to fill up those annoying [TXT_KEY_-insert civ-_DESC]s.
That'd be my first priority actually, while Leoreth is working on the technical details.
We (the contributors) can work on polishing the fluff content.

I'm pretty sure this problem does not exist any more at least before 1500 CE.

I've run countless auto-runs (mostly 3000 BC runs) to test the robustness of my modifications and have never seen such problems.

Both my communist & democratic Phoenicia had that problem a while back ago.
Do we have entries for them?
