Doesn't that still just cover snow tiles? Saying ice tiles is the equivalent of saying they regularly walked across / lived on the Arctic ice pack, which I don't think even the Canadian indigenous people did.
 
I don't see why it's such a stretch to have scouts being able to cross ice tiles. It makes them less of a brick wall, and anyway; Hilary didn't climb Everest until the 50s. Surely that means that Scouts shouldn't be able to scale mountains until the Atomic Era? No, because people have been able to climb mountains before then; they merely weren't European explorers.

Gameplay wise, the band of ice across the top/bottom maps should be impassable. You shouldn't be able to circumnavigate the polar ice cap with an ancient band of tribesmen.

And non-European Hannibal crossed the Alps with Elephants in the Classical Era. It makes total sense for scouts to cross mountains.

Our disagreement is with what terrain type is representative of polar cultures. A few of us think that's snow.
 
I'm having a problem where I'll agree to trades but they don't go through.

If you go into the files, you can change what tech is needed to unlock it. Do this until a patch arrives.

He's being facetious; poking fun at that I, and a number of others, do not like the CBP personally (as much as Pope Gazebo is best Pope :D). Of course, as most should know, I support it nonetheless.

As JFD said. It's all subjective, and when I compare it against what it disables mod wise and changes it makes I don't like, it's not a favored mod in my purview.

JFD, for some reason when I was playing a game a month ago, Tribes never spawned. Could it be because I filled the map up with a ton of civs? I made some custom changes in the ExCE files to fit my preferences, but I never touched anything related to Tribes.

Apologies if this was asked before (I couldn't find anything), but how do you annex a tribe? I have a Great Scout at full health sitting on top of the tribal hut, but I see no button that would allow me to annex it.
I'm running the CPP as well as the Really Advanced Setup and Quiet Diplomacy Mods, in case that's relevant.
 
Well for one, CBP and Quiet's Diplomacy use different DLL's. There can only be one mod in your game that affects the DLL, or else expect weird things to happen, such as crashes, glitches, and certain features not working.

Oh! Ah well, I'l just disable QD for my next game then. It's more of a quality of life thing anyway.
