but thats no good........
i dont want to go on the underground anymore ive been through to many evacs

my condolences to......

just be gald terrorists are stupid or this could have been a lot worse.

The terrorists have realised they only need bombs in the most lethal places, size and suicide seem no longer a tactic.

I hope London is not a testbed for future attacks...

.

I would like to repeat again that all my sympathy is going towards Londoners and all the British people. I also would like to apologize after my awckward thread which had been posted 2 days ago. I'm all with you. I feel utterly torn in the inside by what happened in London.

By the way, that bombing is not linked with the Olympics. However I think it's been planned according to the G8 summit which was held in Great Britain.

The bombings which occured in London look a lot like those Paris has faced in 1995... except that in the case of London it was all bombings in one day and not spread all over a year as it used to be with Paris. I wouldn't be surprised if the responsibles of that attack are North Africans, possibly Algerian or Morroccan. It looks that the main terrorist networks which are surviving in Europe are originary from Maghreeb. However, that's just a wild guess of course.

There has been much extreme sentiment fermenting in the mosques since 2001, I think...

It's common behaviour of Islamic terrorists to bring down a high with a low.

When they've organized the bombings, they couldn't know London would have the Games. However, they could know that a G8 summit was planned. Maybe it occured on the July 7th because they knew we would talk about London on the July 6th, but no matter whether London would have had the Games or not, the bombings would have occured on the July 7th.

I know that it was more to do with the G8, but i'm sure they were aware of London winning and that made it an extra bonus for them.

Perhaps you can explain why? Were various correspondents in The Times wrong?

I've read articles in the Times that alluded to native support but nothing specific, or as overt as celebrations in mosques.

Can you link and I'll happily read more..?

You can check the website yourself. Some of us don't begrudge paying 55p to have the paper itself.

In yesterday's though, they interviewed Asian youths in the East End, and the article left the unmistakable impression that perhaps the community knew more about Al-Qaeda and these attacks than they were letting on.

It was of course impossible to gauge the reaction of the older members of the community, many of whom, despite residing there for over 30-40 years, have an insufficient grasp of the language of the nation they chose to reside in.

I read the same paper (yes I bought it) and the same article, I asked for a link so I could be sure of what we are discussing.

That reporter felt he got a suspicious response and nothing more, he also detailed others in the area condemning it in no uncertain terms. A lot of people there are going to expect a backlash aimed at them. Let's not encourage it, eh?

The very headline which mentioned the young Asian arrogantly striding away showed the very intention of the article was to show not everyone in the Muslim community was genuine in their compassion.

About Muslims celebrating...it was mentioned in one of the comments articles i think, not as outright fact but as "We heard rumours of...". Obviously theres doubt, but there's no smoke without fire.

Look, I don't want to get into an arguement here 'cos I'm as pissed off as you are, but that kind of thinking goes against everything I'm proud of in Britain.

You know it's conjecture, don't convict them without any evidence against them.

It's funny you mentioned the same article 'cos I planned to write in criticising it!
