Fall from Divine Intervention II: Mercenary for the Gods

It's crashing on load for me too.

EDIT: (in spoiler due to possible spoilage)
Spoiler :
I can load Veridian's save, and I also noticed my changes were not in there. I assume Dumanios accidentially grabbed the wrong save, as he reported making changes I had already made. I will add my changes to the save and I will add Diamoneye's changes. Tasunke will have to add his changes again, as he was not very clear about what he did.

YOU WILL SMITE THE SERVANTS OF BLOOD AND RAGE! THIER HEADS WILL ROLL DOWN THE AISLES OF THEIR CHURCH!

A Blinding light shone through every window of the Hippus palace.

THE CALABIM HAVE SLAIN MY DISCIPLES TO FEED THEIR UNHOLY HUNGER! SMITE THEM OR TURN THEM FROM THIER TWISTED WAYS AND BE REWARDED!

Spoiler for changes :

Lightbringer got Blinding Light.
Tyra Kiri is at war with Calabim.

The man whose name turned out to be Echesos speaks "Lord Mammon warns against such hasty declaration of war against the Calabim. Although one of their citizen had killed innocent Hippus men, it does not mean that their government is against us. Also, although they had killed servants of Lugus, the vampire aristocrat's enmity against Lugus is a well-documented fact and it is obviously the disciples fault for venturing too close to the Calabim Nation, let Lugus deal with his own problems."

"Lord Mammon hopes that times of peace will enable a stronger nation, it is unwise to act out with such haste."

Let light and truth shine through mammon"s lies! His will for you is one of hatred and servitude!

You stand warned!

A fog suddenly appears and dims the Lugus's light

Oh please Lugus, must we continue this arguement? I am only trying to lead the Hippus into their glory. Whether they have to serve you in the process is no concern of mine, I just don't think that early war fought in a name of a god that those people hardly know is the answer. Hatred and servitude? Hardly. Foresight? Perhaps.

Tasunke, would you like to face the Horrors of War this early, when your people isn't ready to accept it? I hope not.

So, just to double check, Thomas's save is the most recent, I can has the save as of now, and readd my changes ... ok.

Which save was unable to load? was it mine?

:health: Sucellus, Angel of Life :health:

When the Hippus first settled the fields of Altheriol, Sera's clan took up work in the nearby hills. Her mother and father had some skill in the arts of herbs and healing, and were given the important task of tending to the Hippus' greatest treasure, their mounts. Even as a child, Sera admired her parents’ work. When she was old enough, she began to accompany them on their travels to their neighbors’ lands when a foal was born or a leg was twisted.

At 10 she began taking care of a few ragged sheep that roamed the area near her family's house. It was here, under her mother's watchful eye, that it was first noticed she had a gift for taking care of sick animals. With her gentle hands, she seemed to have a knack for discerning the problem. In her small voice, she would excitedly point out precisely where a leg was broken, whether a sheep was pregnant weeks before it showed, or whether a young one had soremouth.

At 14, Sera was one of the youngest ever to see to the needs of the sick and injured horses. At 16 she began to study medicine with one of the local mid-wives, as well as seeing to her needs. It was because of this that she was allowed to attend the local elder council. And it was here that she first began to learn of the ways of the gods, of morality, the philosophies of the various ways of life, and the importance of looking beyond the borders and obligations of the clan.

Sucellus looked upon the child he had blessed and helped guide. She was a woman now, with fair hair the color of flax, and the lean, strong body that a life of riding and hard work will bestow. And while her studies had just begun, she was bright, strong willed, and optimistic; in short, full of promise. He decided it was time.

For days, Sera locked herself within her house. She would see no visitors, take no meals, and when her clan chief's help was elicited, he could evoke no response from her.

When she finally emerged, Sera was clad in a dress of blue, her hair was neatly tied back, and a small serpent with wings was embroidered over her breast. She spoke of an epiphany, that Sucellus had been reborn as the god of life, and that she was offered the chance to help any and all that sought her out. With a calm smile, she returned to her duties as normal.

At the following month's elder council, it was revealed that Sera had been healing even the most stricken of horses, ones that even the most experienced of healers had given up on. Slowly, students began to approach her, wishing to learn her secrets. Her presence was requested at more of the councils, not as an apprentice, but as a speaker. She spoke nervously at first, but with growing confidence, on topics ranging from herbology, to respect for the dead, to the importance of doing one's best at whatever undertaking one attempts. Some people questioned how she was even familiar with some of her topics, as she had never been outside of the nearby lands, but she spoke with a certainty that inspired any that listened.

Word eventually reached the capital of Altheriol-ta-Mealthiel, and the ear of Tasunke himself. Sera was eventually sent for, but for what reason was unknown. She set out from her quiet fields, leaving her friends and family, and began the journey to the city. Sucellus was with her, and she walked with a determined step.

On Sera (for mortal eyes)
Spoiler :
Sera is your reward for keeping an open mind and letting your people speak freely. She is a product of your empire, and the direction you take will determine what will become of her.

She cannot gain levels, but at each interval, if she is alive, I will give her new promotions based on how you use her and the revolving plot. Try to make sure she does not die, getting a disciple is a time consuming procedure.

Also, she is not a fighter and probably would not appreciate being used as such. ;) You may not even need her for a long time.

OOC: I have a question for you, Paulus. You said you took up God King, which implies that you are claiming to be a god, or are claiming to have been placed on the throne by a god. I am curious which choice you are taking, and if it is the latter, which god you are claiming gave you the right to rule. ;)

Not For Mortal Eyes
Spoiler :
Do I need to make my changes again? If so, I would appreciate it if someone could create a Devout named Sera for Paulus. Please place it on the sheep near the capital, and give it Medic 1 and Weak, and make it level 99. Thanks!

Internet is Still down at the dorms. Hopefully I can readd *some* changes once that is up again. I would like for someone to tell me which changes have not carried over to the most recent save ... :/

Got it, will do the changes NAo

I am really sorry but I don't have time to appy the saves right at this moment so...

For GODS ONLY
Spoiler :
1. Add 35 gold to Tasunke
2. Add 3 Barbarian spectres named Horrors of War next to the guardians of the mirror (Tya Kiri, who just happens to be right next to my shrine -_-)
3. add 1 settler to Balseraphs, the Amurites, and the Sheaim

Mammon watched as The Guardians of the Mirror declared war on the Calabim. He could not let this world end quickly in an all consuming war.

That night, a fog descended upon the lands of the Guardians of the Mirror, and to everyone's horror, figures started appearing from it...

Am I allowed to retake the save this turn?

or not? I want to give my people a chance

Spoiler for mammon only :

don't worry... i will not get rid of your demons... just give my poeple a fighting chance.

(( Not according to the compact. ))

II. Thou shalt not Intervene if you were the last deity to intervene, and thou shalt only intervene once per waking.

-You may only intervene once per my update, and you must wait for another God to intervene before intervening again.

@Thomas
Spoiler :
last time I checked, your people had 10 warriors in the capital, 3spectres are a friendly poke for them...

I'm ruling in Tali's name. Which means that it was just a decision in the heat of the moment, and didn't really think about what it implied to do so. Fitting for the Hippus, no? ;)
