Fall Further 050 Bug Report Thread

There's definitely a bug associated with Nox Noctis and some units not getting the invisibility promotion.

I created Kithra Kyriel (see screenshot) more than 20 turns ago and he does not have the promotion or the button that allows you to toggle invisible-reveal.

So you are saying if the unit created doesn't move, it will not get the invisible promotion from Nox Noctis? I can see that with the Blooded Werewolves in my example because they didn't get a chance to move. They were created, then killed before I got my turn to move them.

However, this seems out the window with the Kithra Kyriel example I gave in a prior post. He has been moving allover the map for at least 20 turns and killed some units. No way to make him invisible.

OK, I understand about taking the cities - reveal, take city, go invisible. ;)

Something that was broke, was fixed, is now re-broke in patch L.

When you declare nationality with you HN Stooge Hill Giant, it now cannot be grouped with other units. You have to move it separately.

This was a welcome fix that is unfortunately broken again.

Some issues about Archon's Giant Spider:

-I had a Giant Spider creating a baby spider out of an enemy unit. When I got that giant spider in my capital city, It showed up a (pink) icon which description was "Sell slave for X :coin:". Didn't really get why only that GS could do that, the icon wouldn't had to be pink though ;)!

-Don't know if this is a bug or it's intended. When a GS gets the Greater Textus promotion, it loses the Textus Promotions which allows to it to get the other GS promotion (mucro, argy-whatever and so on). So if you go for Greater Textus you would have the chance to have a Weaver Spider plus another special promotion, but you can't do it if you choose another path of promotions...

By the way, the modmod is great and the archon are even better!

EDIT: uff...:coin: -> :gold:

Patch L, trying out Jotnar. Apologies if these items have been asked/answered before now.

(1) Giant Tortoises appear to be upgradeable into Tritons, which means you end up with HN Tritons without spending one of your precious citizens.

(2) AC 20, a neat text message about losing population (which did happen) and some stuff about "gaining some adults here and there" came up, but I didn't notice anything happen in terms of units appearing. Perhaps this is out of date, as everything I get relates to Jotnar Citizens, not "child", "adult" or anything like that. Net, it was a little confusing.

They're Archos, by the way.

The first issue is a missing image and a text error, fairly minor. Vehem knows of it already.
The latter one, is something I noticed too. Obviously, a greater promo shouldn't remove it's lesser version. As it's the lesser one that blocks gaining the others. That's easily fixed.

I'll need a save to check out what precisely is blocking Kyriel from getting it.

If they don't move they should still gain the AA promotion on the start of your next turn (without moving still)

Hill Giants were marked HN in UnitInfos during the Jotnar merge, which means with or without the promotion, they are ALWAYS HN.

Kithra was only Age 12 at the time of this save. He is next to the city of Newshore. I have since played another 175 turns with no change in that regards.

Maybe you can test the Blooded Werewolves that are created too because they definitely are NOT getting the invisible promotion until a few turns after creation.

It's funny about the Hill Giants, though. The one Stooge I later declared nationality on WAS able to take/raze enemy cities. Also, it was never attacked by civs I was at peace with.

I noticed a few issues. I was able to walk out of a cage with my Scion explorer. I had mobility, but still.

Treasure Chest events are annoyingly rare...

Oh, Goody Skeleton text key issue. Whenever I spawn Skeletons from a barrow/dungeon thing, I get Txt_KEY_GOODY_SKELETON. :)

Nice message. Also, why is the Text Key no inflation telling me about balloons still?

Because they think they're clever.

...I need to go fix that in Fall Flat, but it's so minor... and it is kinda funny..........

But you're the unfunny Mr Serious who doesn't like monty python references >: (

I bet you removed the Cave of Caerbannog event, didn't you ?

:mischief: maaaaybe.

When you're British you hear the same quotes all day every day, especially in America.

People seem to make them think it makes them look cultured, or like they know something about British Heritage.

XKCD put it better than I ever could, though.

Playing as the Jotnar using Patch L. Everything was going great then suddenly the game crashes after ending the turn. 100% repeatable in the attached save.

The Jotnar are a great addition! Well done!

Multiplayer games go OOS 100% of the time when the jotnar human player plants a town, does not seem to go OOS for the first town.

Found a few clues
Each town he has with 1 population has 2 citizens working plots
Our games report different amounts of food going into his town, sometimes inaccurately for one of us.

EDIT: The capital city being formed does not create a second citizen and does not cause the game to go OOS

Loaded the save and found Kithra, Invis is applied just as it is with the 2 Hill Giants on the tile. Excluding the spiders and griffons outside of your territory, I don't see any units that aren't shrouded except for one ranger who has exposed himself.

xienwolf, he does NOT have that icon as all the other units have and the way I discovered he lacked invisibility was when he was attacked by four Frostling Horsemen inside my borders...and survived.

I can't see how that would happen if he was invisible.

You're right about the Ranger - that was the only unit I made visible.

At any rate, if what you are saying is true, Kithra definitely doesn't have the ability to reveal/shroud like all the other units.

Any chance there was a unit with the frostlings (or on a nearby hill) with the ability to see invis? I can't think of any barbarian units capable of that off the top of my head, but the mouseover of Kythra clearly states "Hidden by Stealth" which means he IS invisible (note: Invisibility CAN be seen through, it isn't the initial FfH Nox Noctis "I trump EVERYTHING" invis-forever approach).

And for me, he is able to cast Expose Self (last icon listed, just after Split Commander), and if I do cast it he is then able to cast Recind Heresy.

I just transferred myself over to control Kolsevahn and moved a unit into your territory, sure enough, I can only see the units in your cities and that one ranger. I even moved onto the same tile that Kithra is standing on just to be sure I didn't wind up attacking.

I reported this a few posts back. Don't think it's been addressed yet.
