Fall Further 051 Bug Report Thread

For a very short time there was an... incorrectly done... patch A up. If you have that, your game will be going functionally berzerk.

Ah ok, i assume it was posted by Vehem then.
I just reinstalled the patch that is posted by Vehem.

I could load the games fine, so i would guess i had the correct patch originally.
I am still getting the mem allocation errors when trying to load the dural saves in game though.

The difference in the patches only mattered for some very small things, and the problem with the first patch would only affect save games from the unpatched 051. They could load under first patch, but most of your units would be the WRONG units. Second version breaks savegames completely from 051 or first A.

To tell which you have, look at the Victory Screen (F8) and see if it says you need "1" of each Tower or the Altar for Victory, or if it says you need "%s1" of them. "%s1" means you have first Patch A (and thus I cannot load your saves) "1" means you have second patch A.

If Dural are the cause, I would suspect that you had fixed the lack of unique building links for them, and then the patch un-fixed that . It was supposed to have fixed it, but I flubbed the update somehow.

Well, i have the correct version installed now, but i am still getting the mem allocations for the dural saves, i just do not know if those saves were from the faulty patch a or the real patch a

I am on summer break now, playing this at least 4-5 hours a day, so i will let you guys know if this problem persists.

Patch A, can build Glory Everlasting but the AC is only ~15 also I can Mercurian Gate even though no one has summoned the Infernals.

When Kuriotates capture the city with the dragon's hoard, it appears you can't pick it up.

By wrong button, do you mean a pink box, or that it should look different?
I mean wrong button. Warden has the graphic for Sanctify (I think).

an error on the diplo screen

Raging Seas seems to be wiping out terrain improvements.

Can you clarify what you mean?

if it's cottages, farms and such, I believe that's intentional.

Civ has several different factors determining a tile

1. Terrain. This is plains, grassland, desert, tundra, fields of perdition, etc.
2. Height. This is peak, hills, flatlands, sea
3. Improvement. This includes cottages, farms, lumbermills, etc. Mana nodes are here, and the big unique things like Pyre of the Seraphic are in this category too.
4. Feature. This includes forests, jungles, ancient forests, floodplains, haunted lands, et al.

The most importna thing to consider, as far as I'm aware, is that each tile can contain only one each of the above. You can't have a farm and a cottage on one tile. But you can have a cottage and a forest, because they're in different categories.

That explanation aside, can you clarify what exactly is being removed by the Lanun worldspell that shouldn't be ?

Appears that this project doesn't have any AC requirements anymore. Not sure if that is intended, but there isn't one listed in the XML at all.

So Dragon's Horde was a building, and nobody offered to pick it up, right?

Raging Seas seems to be wiping out terrain improvements.

Isn't it supposed to do so? Or do you mean ones that are Lanun owned as well?

I doesnt state in the civopedia that it damages improvements (cottages, farms, and the like) only that it damages units.

The Comand IV promotion has the same icon as the Command III promotion (i.e. both show 'III')

it seems this event took place on a city plot

I've had Muris Clan dumpings on peaks. Lots of the events are weird like that. :\

Doesn't Raging Seas destroy all improvements it can, friend or foe?

It ignores all friendly improvements and has a percentage chance (dunno how big, less than 50 though I'm pretty sure) to destroy each individual seaside or lakeside improvement that doesn't belong to you.

why arctic deer and gems Not used for normalization? the others are fine, but these 2 I'm not sure about.

Arctic deer is very very useful to improve starting icy locations that would otherwise be a death sentence unless you're illians.

And gems... they're not a strategic resource so I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed for normalization.

Not sure what you mean by "offered".

Of course, it begins as a building as soon as you defeat the dragon and all the orcs and goblins with him, and capture the city. So, I did that. Then, picking it up was not listed in the available buttons. I tried different units... didn't work for any of them.

It's probably because the captured city is a settlement (which is probably always going to be the case for the Kuriotates).

Patch A

All unique features works for me.

Bannor still can not make clerics, they are still listed and not buildable in the civopedia.

I also am unsure about how to build Clerics as of patch A. Tried the Bannor, built a Pagan Temple since that seems to be a prerequisite, but no luck (didn't even appear as a greyed out option). Maybe a word or two of explanation about them would help determine whether I've made an error (who knows, maybe they need incense? For "No State Religion" to be your civic? For no religions to be present in the building city? Whatever, possible bug I guess.

I removed everything which was a prereq for anything. Gems for Kilmorph High Priest (or was that changed?) and Deer for Nyxkin. There is still Fur for normalizing Ice/Tundra.

It's fixed for patch B, it was a python error. Nothing to do with Kurio, just with the spell to pick up that building.

It is a bugfix which hadn't made it into Patch A, but had made it into the changelog. Fixed properly for Patch B
