FANTASIC walkthrough, The combat looks in VATS (turn base) looks solid as, But the FPS aspects are very basic if you watch the trailers you'll note the low mouse sensativity make aimming hard, the AI so far looks straight from idiotic morrowind. I can see myself playing in VATS mode and forgoing the FPS aspect which feels out of place.
Tip of the hat to the fantasic items and pieces of equipment.
I cannot quite shake of the overwheleming Oblivion build and mechanics. It is using the same engine but it looks rather wrong to me. Too samey and I wasnt exactly excitied over oblivion gameplay hopefully the awesome graphics and roleplaying elements make up for this.

Very excited.

I saw! It has the feel of Oblivion in terms of dialogue boxes. But I'll see when I go down to PAX in an hour. :D

Wow.
I have even more mixed feelings about this now.
Please let it not suck, please.

So the A.I still looks baby ******** and the voice acting is still absolutely horrendous, other than that its pretty much exactly what I expected and wanted, Oblivion, set in a wasteland, with guns.

edit:BTW, thank FF for posting these.

The wasteland video looked pretty cool. Liked the physics of the giant scorpion getting fragged.

And being able to counter pickpocket was neat to, I always thought that was dumb how you couldn't do that in Oblivion.

They butchered the story already. It's simply now Oblivion with guns. Not that Oblivion is something fantastic.

Im not gonna lie, that's pretty much exactly what I was hoping it would be, just Oblivion with guns, and we don't know anything about the story yet, at least not enough to make any conclusions.

Okay, Oblivion with guns... That could be okay since Oblivion is great in my book, but I'm quite afraid of the 'quests' and dialogues.
Seriously what was this thing with the bomb in Megaton ? You just stand near it - with NPCs everywhere - and attach a fusion primer like it was an easy thing... Moreover, I didn't know WWIII will be fought with Hiroshima-type gravity bombs.

One thing for sure : I'll have to buy a new PC to run it :(

I hope they don't fork up the interface as well, Oblivion's was pretty much an atrocity against man no matter what you did to it. And that whole skill boosting thing with pills kinda bugs to, it just looks cheap, makes the game less of an RPG. And I am kinda wishing they would just improve the A.I at least a wee bit, I'll probably just put the game on hard from the start.

edit:I already upgraded my machine for this game, and if I can run Crysis on hi, I know I can run this on max.:D

Ya I know but I didn't like the first two.

Oh Dear God Nooooooooo! Not the same voice actors from Morrowind and Obliviooooon.. Gawd nooooooooooarghh...

I hope this time there is more than.. what was it in M. & O.? 3 or 4 actors?? Dang nabbit, that is not good producing. IS. NOT!!

Otherwise it looks neat. A bit too much was taken from Oblivion, but hopefully, there will be mods available soon.

I noticed that to in the Megaton video, BOTH actors were in Oblivion, I personally wish just to keep things fresh they would have just gotten a whole new cast.

I totally forgot about that.
Moddability will definitely make it worth it.

Anyway, since I'll have to wait for my new computer (around end of year), you'll have plenty of opportunity to enlighten me when it gets out :)

I updated my comp just for this game, its a beast, the Vista rating is a 5.9, Its got crap in it that cant even be used yet.

Mods would be great for this game.

I am mildly disappointed. I am a fan of Morrowind that didn't get to Oblivion just not to waste a lot of time on it. I have no problem with Oblivion-styled games. However I hope that they keep the spirit of Fallout up.
Can there be that many ghouls in DC? I thought ghouls were a direct mutation from FEV?
How did the mutants make it to the East Coast in these numbers? I take it someone has re-activated the VATS.
Vaults do not look generic. I am sorry, but they HAVE to! Just take a look at the entrance door.
I liked the VATS (combat mode this time) as a good compromise.
Too many questions arise. I will certainly buy the game, but I hope that at least the humor and "spirit" (good-doer) of Fallout is in there.

Ya I noticed that to, they didn't really say how much actually worked and functioned. That VATS thing looks cool, but it looked as if you could just que up hits over and over till you killed a guy and he couldn't fight back, which would kinda suck seeing as how the A.I is pretty ham handed as it is.
