Favourite game intros

That's cool, thanks for posting. I never played the original Fallout (I know, I know) and didn't realize how much of the Fallout 3 intro followed the original intro.

pokemon intro nuff said.

The TIE Fighter intro pretty much summed up why everyone should join the Imperial Navy. Collectors edition rather than DOS 'cos, well, that's the one I had.

And I always loved the Battlefield 2 intro, because it's pretty much a gameplay video showing off what you're about to be doing in five minutes time. With epic music.

While unfortunately I don't have the chance to play this game, I learned that I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is pretty awesome too. The intro surely is (and the author of the book is the voice actor of AM).

Looks really interesting. I had heard of that game, but never played it.
Also the author of the book seems to be very much enjoying himself in the role of the sadistic computer AM :)

Ditto about playing it, but I've also heard of it.

Of course, as an author myself I have to say we vastly prefer our sadistic Complete Monster villains to our pathetic moralistic heroes. Or is that just me?

My absolute best experience in Civ4 was the first time I started a game. If only Leonard Nimoy could have been paired with the original. :mischief:

I like the openings to all the Battlefield games, but 1942 was always my favourite, probably for the music. Vietnam is a close second.

Back when live cinematics were actually acted, I often thought how great it would be if the same developers made feature-length movies.

Awesome music, awful gameplay. These are probably the best graphics in the whole game.

In my own stories the hero is the villain, most of the time. Failing that he is a villain sympathiser though :)
