Iggy, feel free to join at any time. It'll be about four updates in by early July and i'll be away for a week around then, but there's always new room opening up.
Well, could I start a nation with a rough guideline for you, then have it NPCed for the first few updates? If that'll work, I'll make a nation description after my science final, which is in an hour and a half. Wish me luck!

FS is the devil.
Cleric is the guy who has made his point several times too many.

Start me at the mouth of that major river in the craddle. The mouth of the southern most river.

Not particularly cold. The environment is cooler than RL Mesopotamia, more like Virginia or Italy or southern China. The mountains get some snow in winter with less the further south you go. (Yes, you are in the northern hemisphere.)

That's fine, and good luck!

I assume you mean out to the right.

Not to worry, the map (or plans for the map) are huge, so even people at the very northern end of the cradle have plenty of temperate zone to go before the subarctic.

Very, very big. I will say that I haven't actually finished the entire map. It's a work in progress. Every location you could possibly reach during the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages is finished right now.

The map is currently set at a huge 3000x2000. I may reduce the size somewhat later on.
