[FfH II Art Team Blog]

If you look closely at the back of the golem's legs, it has springs for tendons, nice little detail people may have overlooked :)

there are also little gears and a "clockwork" in his back ;)
i love adding those details into most of my units, just for those guys taking the time to look at it in the pedia and to add some character to the units.

Very nice clockwork golem. The arm and claw could stand to be a little bit larger, but other than that it looks amazing

So I was playing Lanun today and I had a notion..

Couldnt several Lanun units( like the swordsman) with a few artful pallette swaps and removal of a few caps, be leveraged into some nice Sidar models? The lanun Swordsman already has a nice doublet going etc, and the model itself is pretty efficient to lend itself to reskinning.

Wanted to ask here instead of the Bug Thread even though either seems appropriate.

The Hawk's Airplane Buttons:

Ok, people have asked when these would be updated to be more "FfH Appropriate," and it was stated that it would be done sometime. I was just peeking in the PAK file while working on my PDF, and what should I find? A FfH Appropriate Rebase, Recon AND Airlift (for the Obsidian Gate) that are perfect!

I figured since I hadn't actually played a game in a while that it was in the game and people just hadn't said how much they love them yet... But I finally played a while and what do I find... Hawks with Airplane Buttons.

So uh... Could you kick someone in the teeth and remind them to actually use the buttons you made?

im most lookin forward to svartalfar hunters and assassins graphics.. currently an ideal svartalfar strategy gets hunting right off and follows that line, so you're immediately out of their unique graphics and onto standard looking hunters and such

if you set up your nicest smile, i gonna create them after I finished the dwarven Adept (hopefully today, if my blood alcohol content drops fast enough).

Haha, you're an alcoholic! Like me.

Sezreth, would it be possible to get a better look at the clockwork golem's back? I'd like to see the clockwork you mentioned and the existing photos don't focus on its back very much.

edit: scratch that, just didn't notice first time round lol

How difficult is it to do particle effects for civ units via max?

Sidar units could stand to have a bit of mist. Did you see what I asked as well about chopping certain Lanun meshes into sidars?

ESPECIALLy the lanun settlers( the female in particular, that model is gorgeous and going to waste where it's at) and the lanun Swordsmen.

I like the idea of Sidar steadily becoming more cultured, but more ghostly as the tech tree increases.

In a similar way, when it comes to work on the Elohim, I see them starting out in their priestly robes (like the current Elohim warrior), then piling on the armour as they learn how dangerous the Age of Rebirth is.

small update o4.o2.o8

Someone to repair the Clockwork Golem. you can find him in the FileDB and in the next release of FfH II ;)

Err...dumb question, how do I put them in the game once downloaded?

What will the dwarven cannon look like? Will it be like a normal cannon with a flavour, or will it be really different?
