Well, the problem is, their still partially in the land, not just flopping on it. If they were just on it, it'd be rather funny.

once i got the obelisk thing 8 times in 100 turns all went to food thats 16 peoples off 1!! obelisk

Not a question but another comment on max city size. Thanks to sidar shades beeing able to settle as greath merchants (giving 1 food each) the cap is hardly 326 but some way higher or even without any limit given you turn off time victory / turn-limit.

Ohh and on a regular city-site without world-builder juggling. In a regular normal speed game i whould guess it whould be possible to reach about 400 (With AV Stw and without much health so 2 Food needed to sustain the majority of the pop) in 800 turns if you only aim for that. Tendious task. But the money-output of said City whould be insane... And a civic to allow unlimited specialists whould be a good idea then... (No unhappiness is not a big deal with at least 3 possible sources. One beeing not possible to run at the same time as Stw but the other 2 beeing possible allright.) as whould be a liberal use of the Guild of the nine.

Getting a good amount of Shades each turn is not a big deal in lategame.

Hyborem can go way higher than 326 as well and with less tendious setup thanks to no food-use/unhealth /unhappiness.
