FfH2 0.14 Bugs

Chiming in with this again, since quite a few posts popped in right after me. I had killed Basium, and the archers defending his city did not reflect the 25% strength loss caused by the Tomb of Basium.

It definitly gives -25% city defense to all cities, but I dont think thats as simple as -25% to all units defending cities. It is factored in when city defense is calculated and I dont believe it can be negative (meaning being in a city wont ever be worse than standing on the plains). But it would effect the defense of the units if for example there were walls on the city or cultural defenses.

I hope that helps explain it.

I'll have to reload that game and look again. Tell me, if I conquer the city with the Tomb of Basium, will I inherit its deficits? Last time I had that opportunity, I razed it just in case.

It is destroyed if the city is captured (dont tell the mercurians they are probably best off to let their capital go if basium dies).

Now I am sure I found something. I have just played Ljosalfar and finaly got feudalism and co-opted Lanun (shame though I cannot get more) and suddenly BANG! Sir, we forgot how to tilt the fields- all my farms make one food less... hmm permanent alliance members share techs. Maybe I got seafaring? Farms would say so... But I got no increase in food from sea tiles.

Hello? Was this already rweported too:(?

Hey All noticed this with new version .14 (not a or b patched yet) and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. I was playing as the grigori and had an adventuer that I had upgraded to scout. I had given him hero's strength 1 and 2 so his total strength before bonuses was 3. When I upgraded him to hunter, the hero's strength promotions were no longer in effect, he still had a strenght of 3 rather than 5. No save, sorry. Noticed a similar phenomenom with an adventurer turned warrior turned axeman or something

Got that added to the wish list to be fixed.

You are correct, sharing their techs gives you the -1 to food on farms. The lanun get their +1 food from sea tiles from their palace, so you wouldnt share that. I will see about blocking seafaring from being shared.

Kael,

If i well understand, Monks are now an Elohim's UU. I don't find them in the civilopedia.
Right ?

Kael,

Yes. You can find Monk UU in "units" chapter but not in "Civilizations" chapter.
It's not very imprtant, i agree. Just for those of us who likes to have right info when looking at the civilopedia, civilizations.

The Frog.

Kael,

Just to know if it's new or a bug. It seems that you don't have to build a specific number of libraries to build Great Library wonder. Righ?

That is correct, it no longer requires a minimum amount of libraries.

Ahh.. Yeah. Technically the Monks are not UU's (nor are Vampires, Gypsy Wagons and a few other units). They are special units only one civ can build. UU's replace a normal unit, whi9ch the monks dont do.

Sorry for the confusion.

Meditation doesnt exist anymore. I cant find any reference to it. Let me know if you find a place that references it.

My bad, I meant mysticism (says u can build pagan temple) and philosophy (says u can build temple)

No, but if they have the loyalty promotion you cant convert them.

I didnt notice but Ill check this next game. Id be surprised if that was why, as I also had one of my own workers caught by a hunter during that game. On the following turn I killed the hunter and the captured worker occupying the same square vanished. I didnt give it loyalty and neither can hunters afaik.

Deleted because I am sleepy and not sure about my name less so the FfH.

After a diplomatic talk, game crashes to desktop with fatal error.

Both times I played as the summoner evil race. First time I encountered the sneaky neutral race, told them I wanted peace, said it was ok for now, crash to desktop. Second time I encounter the vampires, tell them I want peace, said it was ok for now, crash to desktop. Both games playing standard sized map, lakes.

Doesn't happen in non-modded games.

Running Civ IV 1.61 and FfH 2 014
