FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

The unit promotion Shock 2 (I think that's the name; it's the vs. melee unit promotion) as the same (displayed) value as Shock 1.

The unit promotion Shock 2 (I think that's the name; it's the vs. melee unit promotion) as the same (displayed) value as Shock 1.

thats a cosmetic issue. The same as with combat 1-5.
Only the lattest one will be displayed, however in the combat odds you will see the correct %.

The BtS intro movie plays after the Mod intro movie when you choose Custom Game. The Mod intro movie does not play at all when you select Play Game. In the *.ini file I have NoIntroMovie = 1.

The Baron isnt making any werewolves. I have tried about a dozen different units, all alive, and nothing. I was playing as Calabim with Runes if that matters.

I played last night with patch "e" and he was making them.
Has a smaller chance then before I beleive, and then seem to become Barbarians unless you get them to blooded within a certain time period.

I dunno if it matters but i had compact enforced, living world, and blessings of amathaon options selected. I had patch "e" also and it definetly wasnt working for me at all.

I do not know if this has been mentioned or intended (I did try searching the thread):

-Playing with patch "e"
-Multiplayer, 2-person teams. Myself playing Lanun, my partner playing any civ.
-My partner is able to both see pearls and harvest them with workboats. Is this intended, or a bug?

Was the dragon and his hoard removed from .30? I've played roughly 5 games now and he has never showed up.

Also the cult of the dragon guild doesn't seem to spread. Playing as both the Kuriotate and Sheaim I was able to get the event that founds the guild, but nothing ever happens after that.

Team share Technology, so it is natural your partner gets pearls since it is enabled via tech given to Lanun for free

The Seafaring tech seems to be a rather unique creature, though, as far as starting techs go, in that other civs cannot research it, unlike mining, agriculture, etc, so I wasn't sure if it was intended behavior for them to receive it.

It's a kind of unintended bonus to teaming with the Lanun.

Re: the Baron, he needs to declare his nationality first. Man, that one needs documenting somewhere...

Here is a python exception that happen to me recently.

Besides my post above, now it's happening again, CTD and alot of them. I have played several games (yes I have no life outside civ) without it, but now, the one connection I have with my earlier experiences is that it happens with I use shadows masked (HN). I had my shadows in my cities for a long while and nothing, but then I decided to punsih the illians a bit so I used my shadows to soften him up (masked), but then the game crashes again and again. It start to be irritating. Is there anybody else out here that has experienced this. I have saves (I have a lot of saves) but since it doesn't occur every turn and if I reload (du to experience I quicksave when I use shadows masked every turn) it doesn't crash. The game crashes when I have completed my turn (the waiting phase).

PS. Patch F.

Please telll me if you need any saves?

So I'm having a strange little problem. On my game, as soon as I go from turn 308 to turn 309, the game crashes. I've gone back several autosaves, and taken different approaches to my actions, but no luck, during the computer's turn it crashes straight to the desktop.

Two savegames with different approaches to turn 309 can be found here www.bohemene.com/dump/saves.rar

any suggestions to how I can circumvent the crash would be greatly appreciated :)

The last time I played was patch f, but I never seem to get great commanders via the unit experience points. When I look at the defense screen it will show 160/30 XP, the only ones I seems to get come from the free one for being the first at a tech. Does the XP generate new great commanders, or are they only generated the same as other GPs?

The Civilopedia text claims that the altar of the Lunnotar (all versions) can be built by sacrificing great prophets or lunnotars. However, the rules text only mentions great prophets and you cannot sacrifice lunnotars to create the altar.

Patch F:

I've been noticing that heroes tend to die randomly. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I've seen the notices pop up. 'Basium has created Sphener' and then a few turns later 'Sphener has been killed'. I sent a unit I had on the continent over to investigate, but there were no hostile units around. No wars, no barbarians, nothing that could have killed him. I'll see if I can get a save. Anyone see this problem?

Also, Basium was brought into the world without the infernals.

I think that in .03, the Mercurians can come in without the Infernals.

Leader death, could it be from a world spell? Check to see if one was cast recently, some of them are very powerful.

Best wishes,

Breunor

I think Ive stumbled across a problem with incense using this mod (unless I'm missing something). It is like it isn't being registered in my capital at all.

Here is a link to a pic which shows the incense with a plantation linked to my capital:-

And here is another picture which shows my capital:-

Notice how I have NO luxary resources in there for some reason. My happiness is at 5, whereas it should be 7 cause of the incense plus the pagan temple using incense.

Am I missing something here or is this a bug?

Thanks guys

Al

I think this is the issue:

There is a tech requirement for incense to work. Unlike 'normal' BtS, you can build the plantation before the tech is researched, but the incense doesn't kick in as a happiness benefit until you have the tech. Don't remember the tech off the top of my head, but it is in the Civiliopedia.

Best wishes,
