FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

I cannot find any reference.. why can we not resume multiplayer saves without clients connected to the host recieving " failed to uncompress game data"?

I have no problem resuming multi-player games. Are you trying to pick up a multi-player game in single player mode? How about some more details?
 
If you choose "End of Winter" in the options, and then build a pirate cove (as Lanun) on a tile before the world is fully warmed up, the cove can be destroyed by its tile reverting to its original type.

after discovering iron working, in cities where I have a training yard, I can no longer make radiant guards.:cry: Is this by design?

Grigori - Luonnatar can't actually build the Altar of the Luonnatar, still only Great Prophets can.

I think this has been mentioned before, Flood plains don't turn into Obsidian plains. Instead, the desert changing to burning sands overrides it. Genesis/Vitalize also turn Flood Plains/Desert into Flood Plains/Plains, which are absurdly productive at 4 food/1 hammer/1 gold unimproved. Another Vitalize makes them Flood Plains/Grassland at 5/0/1 unimproved..
 
Can you build the Baron (of werewolves) without researching Feral Bond?

Apparently, you can.

In my game I was very surprised early in the game to see the message that Perpentach had built the Baron. This was later confirmed when I saw the Baron sporting the Balserph banner.

I opened the trade screens and the Tech screens. Sure enough, Perpentach did not have Feral Bond or even Animal Handling researched.

How did he build the Baron? :confused:
 
Do I need to roll back the patch to 1.61? Every time I try to start FFH I get,

"The application has failed to start becasue D3DX9_32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

So any ideas?

This has nothing to do with FfH: you need to install a new version of DirectX 9c - also you are aware that this (0.30) version of FfH only runs on Beyond the Sword, right? If you want to play Vanilla you need to use 0.23...

Advanced start, by any chance? People have reported him appearing under those settings.
 
All issues with 30f:

Vassal states doesn't work at all for me with FfH; I don't even see it (or Capitulation) as an option on the Diplo screen.

When I summon fireballs with a mage standing next to an enemy city, nothing happens when I click "bombard". If I move the fireball into another square adjacent to the city, then press "bombard", it works normally.

Playing as the Svartalfar, some of my recon units built in cities with Hunting Lodges would randomly lose their 'sinister' promotion. Is this supposed to be temporary?

After adopting CoE, none of my recon units (either existing, or those produced later in CoE cities) could use Mask or Steal.
 
The Lanun pirate groves improvemente restriction of not being able to build new pirate groves within 3 tiles of range works for the pirate groves themselves, not for pirate harbors nor ports. New Lanun pirate groves can be built within 3 tiles of range of pirate harbors and pirate ports.

No, I've never played a game with an advanced start.

It was the only time I have seen this, but I have occasionally seen civs with units that required a particular resource or tech and they clearly did not have that.

Two recent examples:

1. The Elves were building plenty of Champions. They had Smelting, but not Iron Working.

2. I saw the Elohim with Radiant Guards despite them have Runes of Kilmorph religion the whole game. I believe there IS an event that can give you a Radiant Guard unit, but I never saw that event announced and unless they kept getting it, I have no idea how they could keep fielding those Guards!
 
Sarisin, the event you speak of is the Overcouncil sending help. It can create a few Radiant Guards for a member state that is at war with (I think) any non-Council civ. How many guards are you seeing?

Elven Champions... I dunno.

bluedevil99 (you a Crazie?), you need the Feudalism tech before you can Vassal/Capitulate.

Sinister for me has always been permanent, not one of my probably few hundred hunters/assassins that I usually use as my main Svartalf army has ever lost it to my knowledge.

I've been getting some wierd CtDs lately, while playing as Cassiel/Grigori. Never had one reoccur after loading the last autosave, and never done anything different to my knowledge. I'll try enabling Python messages and see what comes up, haven't bothered before because it's never been consistent and only happens once every 50 turns played or so.
 
edit: never mind. I was looking at the first post instead of the last one, and answered a very old and well answered false bug report.
 
I adore this MOD, had to say that...anyways, playing Clan of Embers Civ, Jonas, still friendly with the barbs, building Disciples of Leaves out of my Altar of the Lunator city, and then upgrading them to Rangers. I'm not positive if all of the Flashing Lizardmen rangers I've seen are from ones upgraded from fellowship of leaves Disciples or not and that have been turned into Barbarians by the Armegedon Counter. But what happens is the waiting for civilizations globe will seem to spin along time...then I scan about the map and behold a Flashing Barbarian Lizardmen Ranger, sometimes they seem to flash in one place and other times they seem to flash back and forth from one square to another. This doesn't happen every turn, and sometimes if I go back to the closest auto-save it will not happen in the year it did, but it still happens eventually.
I have python errors turned on, but didn't get a pop-up for it. Otherwise game runs fine, I'm playing on Huge Map, Marathon speed. I Hope someone can help!

PS I was going to upload my save game file but its greater than 500KB.
 
Well since i downloaded this mod a few versions back i have pretty much stopped playing regular civ, but since i downloaded patch F i can only build farms on spaces with fresh water, was this a change or a bug? also in another game i got the event that gives a unit the hero promotion, and a couple of turns later another one saying the hero wanted to go on a quest. after selecting to go on the quest the hero just vanished with no message saying what happened
 
Elves archer Unit info calls for 4 instead of 44 for its size of model, not units size representation, but size of model, so the archer is skinny compared to all other of its factions units, something i found when re skinning the model.
 
The last few games I've played have been on duel sized maps, and there were no horses.

This has been 5 games in a row on duel sized maps with no horses except what the Hippus palace provides.

Appropriate? Maybe. Fun? No.
