FfH2 Bug Thread

Ehm.

If you just want to mouseover the flag to see your abilities. Have a look at the left-top corner.
There is your flag - its just moved. :p
 
I'm playing FfH since the beginning of 2008 and i always thought the lack of the flag was a wished by the modders.

Now i'm playing for the first time as Perpentach and when he changes traits, a message say to mouse-over the flag to see the new traits.

Impossible, i can't see the flag. To open the Capital city screen i use F10, i never seen the flag in FfH.

The flag is in the upper left corner of the screen.

Getting a WoC hang at the end of this turn. Just hit "enter" and watch and wait ... and wait ... and wait .... and wait ... -- well, you get the idea.
 
It looks like the Balseraph 'taunt' spell still freezes the game; this issue has been reported before, but apparently not in some time.

Breunor, was this a response to my post? I was playing as the Balseraphs and I definitely did not cast "Taunt" -- unless it was somehow auto-cast by one of my units without my ordering them to do so. So whatever froze my game was likely something else.

I decided to abandon that and start a new game, since whatever the fix is, we don't know when the next patch will be coming out.

This bug may be instructive for the developers. It is caused by a barbarian warrior (who is stacked with a barbarian archer) outside of the Sidar city of Velius.

The barbarian warrior has the 'hidden' promotion. Removing the hidden promotion fixes the game.

It appears the Sidar have cast 'into the mist'. Therefore, I'm assuming that the warrior got the hidden promotion, and 'turned' barbarian (not paid?) I suspect this sequence constitutes an unusual set of circumstances that doesn't happen very often, so this bug may have been around for a while.

Note that this game has a huge map, few civs, and raging barbarians - this combination is 'asking for it' from a WoC standpoint as the game now works.

Btw, no, my post on taunt came from my own game. It is an older bug but hasn't been reported recently (or if it has I've missed it). Taunt causes the game to freeze, it does not give a WoC.

Impressive, as always! Let's hope it's helpful for the developers.
 
I know right? I was like ... "why can't I feast?" and then overlooked it, but when a fresh vampire couldn't even cast haste, I checked and yes, the worldspell had just begun.

by the way, some MP games with AI are crashing randomly, Best way to test I suppose is to play a game through without any AI, to ensure that we at least know crashes are caused by AI. Crashes do not occur in SP play of the save (to my knowledge), so I doubt posting MP saves with this bug will actually prove much useful.
 
There is an arcane lacuna counter. It would be nice if the caster could see the counters for arcane lacuna and stasis (I forget to make a note of when I cast them, and then can never remember when they will wear off). Sanctuary doesn't show a counter for anyone, but probably should.

As for people failing to notice when arcane lacuna or stasis are cast (I've done it too), perhaps a popup that must be clicked past would make it harder to miss.
 
Don't know if it's a bug but i am getting killed by griffon flights strenght 18 combat5 and some other promotions by turn 65 on normal speed. i thought animals were not supposed to get this strong early game? i still only have warriors to defend
 
18 is high for a griffon's strength. Are you using any modmods? If this is just base FfH2 then post a save and I'll take a look. Perhaps this is a monster spawned from a lair.

Hi all!

I just started a game as Illians, Fractal-Huge-Map!
i am at turn 192 and everytime i press 'end turn' it loops indefinetly at 'waiting for other Civilisations' ... savegame attached ... hope this helps in killing bugs.

P.S.: FfH2, latest Patch ...
