At 12:15 today, Free Republic diplomats landed in Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, where they were greeted by President Ngo Dinh Diem. From there, they were driven under armed guard to the presidents residence, where further talks could continue safely. Analysts say that the Republic of Vietnam has taken many precautions to protect the diplomats from Vietcong attacks and North Vietnamese air raids which have intensified over the past month.
The meeting in Saigon marks a new turning point in the foreign policy of the Free Republic. Previously, the Free Republic had engaged in limited diplomatic interactions outside of China. The Free Republics main focus has been on reunifying the war torn Chine people. The visit, however, signifies that the FRHK is beginning to spread its influence outside of Zhongguo. This has been seen as a reaffirmation of Prime Minister George Chais commitment to combat the Red Scourge beyond China.
Several major topics are said to be on the table for discussion, the first and most important being the official recognition of the Republic of Vietnam by the FRHK. Officials say that recognition of the Republic will most likely be followed by an offer to join the APFTA. Rumors of a possible alliance between the two nations have also surfaced. These rumors come on the heels of news that the FRHK is shipping weapons to the Republic of Vietnam, to defend itself against the North Vietnamese Army and the Vietcong.

==Les Announcements==
CRASH, having seen a massive change in what constitutes its territory, has decided to change its full name. The Caribbean Republics Associated for Security and Hegemony is now the Confederated Republics Associated for Security and Harmony. The new title acknowledges the end of the Caribocentrism of the earlier republic, makes the term "Confederacy" - a common working name for CRASH - feature partially in the nation's designation, and finally replaces the controversial "hegemony" with a much more accurate, less intimidating "harmony."
==Les Diplomatic Actions==
Given that the United States dollar likely still enjoys a quasi-official status in much of North America due to custom, CRASH has a proposal to integrate the economies of North America. CRASH proposes the creation of the Amero between the Southwest Republic, FRGLO, and CRASH. The Fifth Battalion and Kentucky are also invited, on the condition that the aggressive posturing and civil war cease, respectively. This currency union will further promote peace and economic development between us.
On that note, CRASH is also proposing a free trade zone with the Southwest Republic and FRGLO. NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement. Combining our raw material base with your manufacturing base, free from state interference, could only benefit us as our gold, coal, oil and other resources flow into your factories and finished goods flow back out, ready for consumption and the increasing of consumer abundance.
CRASH is proposing a wholly defensive alliance with the Southwest Republic. The Republic has shown that it is content with its current borders, is under serious threat from the Fifth Battalion, and a purely defensive alliance will ensure that CRASH's neutrality is not violated.
The Fifth Battalion being a potential threat to the safety and stability of North America, and having passively threatened the territorial integrity of the Confederacy, CRASH has decided it will henceforth guarantee the Republic and FRGLO's independence against Fifth Battalion aggression. This offer extends exclusively to Fifth Battalion aggression, as there is a clear mutual interest, and a clear threat to CRASH's security, from an empowered, militarised, aggressive Fifth.
To the Third French Empire and Juan, we issue an impartial policy. Seeing that this war will likely be bloody and come at great human and material cost, we have decided to curtail our opportunism for the greater good. Regardless of whether the URJ, TFE, or neither sides emerge victorious from this affair, we have decided they should have the right to guarantee a future for themselves, their children and their grandchildren. As such, CRASH has declared the CEZ - the Confederate Exclusion Zone:
All territories to the east of the red line drawn across the map shall not be even considered for CRASH territorial expansion. They are to be wholly the URJ and TFE's. We ask other nations to respect this zone as well, but due to the DAN, will not enforce such a provision. We can only enforce our decision upon ourselves; we are not the father of this family of nations, but just another cousin.
Alternatively, if agreeable to both parties, we can colonise the territory east of the line, and turn it over to both sides once they conclude their conflict, as to be designated at a peace accord.
The FRGLO now officially endorses the Amero, and hopes it will become an economic powerhouse in the future. Furthermore, we urge the Southwest Republic to do the same. We as a continent and a world must accept that the United States is no more, and ceasing use of their currency would be a great leap forward in accomplishing this.
On Behalf of the FRGLO and its peoples, we accept the free trade agreement with CRASH. If the Southwest Republic accepts as well, we will be willing to open the agreement to them.

Re: Central Asian Agreement
In the interest of cooperation and improved relations, the FRHK wishes to propose the following deal to the Grand United Republic. Should the GUR agree to not expand below the demarcation line (the maroon line), the FRHK will agree to not expand north of the line into Siberia. In addition, the FRHK would like to sign a non-aggression pact with the GUR.
Got occupied territory but don't feel like dealing with it? Then turn all of it into one giant client (or several smaller ones). Clients won't have partisans spawn normally. However, for each percentage of the military the master losses in between turns, the chances that a massive rebellion will spawn in clients.
