War of Reclamation Year 3 1957
Indonesian Colonization Year 1
Excerpts from the Journal of Prime Minister N.J.Cow
The war against the CRA is still raging. My generals say that we will be in a position to take the rest of Australia next year with if I put a little funding into our Navy.
However, this is has put me into an uncomfortable position. Recently a multi-millionaire who is central to the funding of the factories that power our military has had set up something called The Australian Colonization and Expansion Company or ACEC. This company wants to start making good on our agreement and start to colonize the depopulated areas of Indonesia that were promised to us by our agreement with Stewart Island.
During the years of the revolution, Indonesia was actually quite stable. They would have come out of the revolution well off if it wasnt for the comet. It came and crashed into the middle of Indonesia, sending tsunamis throughout Indonesia and beyond. It decimated the population. The whole country is in a mess, there are hardly anyone left alive, which is why they want to colonize it.
I knew that they would want to do it soon, but I wanted to at least wait until the war was over. I said to the millionaire that we needed an navy before we could colonize and that there was no reason to build a navy at this time as there was no possible use for it during this war. He agreed. However, now my generals are saying that we do need a navy, I cant use that excuse any more. So I approved that damned ACEC's request.
What can I say? I lost this one. Youd think that being a ruler of a country would mean that you made all the decisions, that you had the final say. Well, youd be wrong.
33 into Armies (33 New Divisions, 38 Divisions Total)
31 into Navy (31 New Ships)
Claims in Red, except for that partially red province in Australia, that was Paint being stupid, NOT a claim.
