Filefront is closing

Nice offer, but i say, it's not sure enough, because i don't know you personally, and you have no responsibility for our files.

It sounds like everything has worked out anyway. But as far as responsibility if you look at my join date I've been around a while. I've even created a simple Mod or two myself. It's not like I was going to upload files and delete them for fun. :mischief:

Nice one Thunderfall! :goodjob:

For smaller mods mediafire.com could be a solution. It keeps tracks of the downloads, but supports files with size up to 100MB only. At least links keep working (nothing like link exceeds after 30 days or something). If money is no problem for you, you could get a pro account for $7 per month and then have files with up to 10GB.

However, please do not use megaupload, okay? It's incredibly slow (20KB/s)... Especially if you plan to upload huge files with 300MB or something it'll be a pain to download it...

BTW: I can remeber that long time ago it was possible to upload things to civfanatics. Is there no chance to get that feature back? Perhaps with a bit more space then 30MB? :mischief:

You mean as attachments? The attachment function doesn't fulfil my demands. If you mean something else, then I must have missed it so far. I can remember that the function I was thinking about, disappeared after that hacking attempt...

Sorry, i didn't want to offend you.

But it's not save enough, for example something could happen to you (god forbid), and your site is closed, so we would again have a big problem

I downloaded all those files that can be downloaded. :)

Out of the 187 links in the Excel sheet, 38 of them no longer work and are not downloaded as a result.

You can check the updated Excel file for status. The bad links are highlighted in red.

:goodjob: great work.

What will you do with the files?
Upload them, when the modder doesn't take care the next month, or anything else?

The lost wonder movies packs should be no problem, all movies are separated in the CFC-db.

And CivSuper 0.5/1.0 is also not lost, PW90 is working on a better version.

Yeah, I will let the modders take care of it themselves first. Late next week, I will query the database again. For any files that still point to FileFront, I will try to put the files somewhere and update the download link. The objective is to minimize broken links. :)

For those files with bad links (highlighted red in the Excel file), I likely will delete those file entries eventually...

I hope this is not an April Fools joke or something. :scared: :tinfoilhat:

I use AtomicGamer, and the only bad thing is the wait time. I can have up to 2 GB per file and 5 GB total. (With a free account.) ;)

How did you get that? I've 1 GB total, and 0.5GB per file.
