Final Fantasy Mod Progress Thread, Part III

Under the flavors menu, you can set the initial attitude of various flavors towards each other to help nudge factions one way or another... This was used in the Age of Discovery conquest to make the french more friendly towards native americans and other protestant countries and more antagonistic towards Catholic factions for example.

thats great dude...keep it up

any chance you could estimate how much longer till the full version, or maybe a beta, is made available?

This have been in development like, forever, if you want to play it then you will have to wait a long time.

I personally would rather play the Full version than a beta one.

:goodjob:

Just looking around and noticed this.

Since you seem to be looking for a 3rd UU for Lindblum, why not use 'Tantalus Thief'? Tantalus being the group Zidane was in the beginning that "kidnapped" Garnet on Cid's orders.

Hey! That's a great Idea.... I think I even saw a unit recently that looked sorta like Baku or Cinna or Blank.. Time to rummage through the unit forums again.

I'm just busy ATM, that's all... Well, tired, sick and cranky too, but mostly busy.

As I stated before, since this is a random map mod, I've included Wutai in with AVALANCHE, otherwise the city list for Wutai and AVALANCHE would be too short for this kind of mod (there'd be too many New and III cities, if you catch my drift). This actually makes sense if you think about it, since Wutai wal allied with AVALANCHE (which is also why I included Ft. Condor on the AVALANCHE city list... for the purposes of this mod, anyone who was opposed to Shinra and acted in cooperation with AVALANCHE was included in AVALANCHE... Similarly, for FF VI, I included all the factions that had a major beef with the Vector Empire in with the Returners).

Besides, I have a feeling that FF XII (or at least enough info about it) will be released before this mod goes beta... If not, I can safely delete the 31st civ (Maya) without it screwing up the whole biq file.

If FFXII doesn't come out soon enough, instead of just deleting the 31st civ maybe make a Chrono Trigger civ instead? After all, CT was packaged with FFIV in Final Fantasy Chronicles, thus giving it pseudo-Final Fantasy status. There are probably enough city names to make a Kingdom of Guardia civ. Or maybe I just want to see a Frog Knight UU!

You do good work, Hikaro Takayama. I can't wait for this mod to be released.

Oh O.K. that sounds good.
I haven't been on my computer much here lately, so I probably missed that. looking forward to your compleated mod:D :D

What about an scenario with all the civilizations in this mode with the continents of the Final Fantasy maps? I would certainly love to see it! Also, have you decided what will the final civilization be?

There are a few Final Fantasy maps out there, but I don't know if Hikaro intends to use any of them. There is someone doing an FF7 mod on an FF7 map, however.

I've been thinking about doing maps for FF8 and FF9, but I don't know if I'll get around to them.

I'm not planning on using any pre-set maps with this mod, since I don't particularly like preset maps.... However, you can download any of the FF maps from the maps forums, and just import the rules from (and set the scenario search directory to) this mod.

As for the 31st civ, as I said before, it will be Romanda from FFT/FFXII Unfortunately, since the game is not out yet, all I know for sure is that one of the Romandan UUs will be the Air-Dreadnaught (Replaces the Advanced airship), and probably something AIr-pirate, Bangaa (lizardman) or Viera (Bunny Girl) related. They will be using the Viera Flavor units that Bervenia (FF Tactics: Advanced) is using.

Okay, I've added 4 units to the mod, filling out the UU list for Garden, and increasing the number of completed UUs for Lindblum and Fynn to 2 each. I've also added the Galbadian Soldier as well, finishing up the Galbadian UU lineup.

I'd also like to ask for some help here. There are quite a few units left to do, some of which I'm not willing to foist on others, however, here's a list of what I need that I'd be more than happy for other unit creators to do:

Galka Beastmaster (see pic, but add a snarling dire wolf or other snarly mean animal that aids in attacking)
Galka Worker (looks like the Beastmaster, except has a shovel)
Galka Paladin (See Pic)
Hypello Worker (see Pic)
Burmecian Dragon Knight (Imagine something that would be the Good equivalent to the Skaven)
Esthar Soldier (see pic... his weapon is a combination Battle axe and gun)
Black Mage (see pic)
Red Mage (see Pic)

I REALLY could use the help... Otherwise this mod may never get finished, the way things keep going....
