Final Fixes Reborn

Re: Crime
The Crime Rate is described as influencing what events happen. I haven't checked the event code, so I don't know for sure, but all random events have an <iPrereqCrime/> value, and I assume that the Crime Rate need to be at least that high in order for that event to be able to happen. For example, the Governor Assassinated event may only trigger when the crime rate is at least 25 in the city.

At the moment? Do you have anything planed than?

Found a small bug in the code. You have the Cave of Ancestors for the Amurites bit where it gives exp for mana indented one section too far. It was causing it to only work when you have a School of Govannon. On my copy I shifted it back one tab-width and it started working just fine.

are you using the release or the svn version ? because i cannot see the issue in the code in the svn version. I'll test it.

Edit : Yeah i confirm, it works in the svn version.

I'm not sure if you are talking to me there. I used the full installation plus patch though, since that seemed to be the version the instructions say to download.

Side note, is Dimensional II actually doing anything? It says +3 to teleport range. I don't seem to gain the ability to teleport though.

Sorry, i wasn't clear enough, the svn version is the Beta version, which you can also download instead of the standard version that you have. Let me check for dimensional.

Edit : you should have the teleport mode available as an action normally.

If interested, here is my modified list of city names for the Scion, as I was bored with the old that looked like random syllabus stitched together. Slightly more Latin-sounding, but yet, not really Latin for most.

Are new updates not being pushed to the released version then?
I have no idea what teleport mode is. I have Dimensional II with an Amurite Wizard, in case that matters at all. Not seeing any new spell pop up.

They will be, but, at the moment, it's easier for me to work and maintain the svn one ^^

The teleport mode should be appearing next to move in the action bar. not sure what doesn't work here.

This statement is confusing me. When you say "move", do you mean the Go To Mode? Cause the buttons next to it are Skip Turn and Go To Mode (Same Type). Also, to clarify, is this an ability that's currently only in your svn copy?

Hm... I'll probably not post individual units for a while and than come out with a whole bunch of lizardmen than. Like, at least I'll try and hammer down the entire melee line.

yeah, next to the Go To mode. And, i don't think it's only in the svn copy, no.

Not there. Not sure what up. Tried the following as well:
Downloaded svn copy: Game wouldn't load (no big surprise there). New game also wouldn't start (mod loaded, but game froze when starting new game)
Changed Civ4 from original release beta back to normal, new game would start, but still no teleport option. (And since all the icons were still missing, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to use beta copy)

Side note: Damn. The svn is twice the size of the release.

Hi, I'm new to FFH and all the various mods, I've done some reading and think that AoE sounds like my thing. Is it stable in multi player and if I go for the SVN version is there anything I should know about packing art assets or anything else in particular about loading the mod and playing with the SVN version, any links would be appreciated. Thanks.

I ´ve a stupid question, where can I find this SVN Beta version of AoE?
when I browse https://sourceforge.net/projects/ashesoferebus/files/ I can only find the normal Ashes of Erebus 14.11.7z file, or is that already the SVN one?
Also the modfied date looks weird, because it should be newer then 2014-11-14.
It would be nice to have a better overview in the download section and about file updating to make clear if we got the newest updated version,- escpecially for new players.

when playing the svn version, be sure that the mod is actually called Ashes of Erebus. Otherwise it occasionally crashes. And yeah the steam beta is required if you use the steam version. (and the steam version is less stable than the non-steam one for some reason).

as for the size, it's now twice the size, it's just that svn stores much data in case of data corruption.

Nothing in particular to know for the svn version, the explanation on how to install in in the first post. For the multiplayer, there's a OOS issue in current revision of the svn but it'll be fixed when i commit the next one.
