Final Fixes Reborn

How do I use the Jotnar and Frozen? I can't activate Jotnar on newest version. (XML error). And I don't see Frozen as a playable race.
 
The Frozen is a summonable civ ( similar to infernals and mercurians). For the jotnar, if you're talking about the release version, it's a known issue that they aren't working. For the svn version, they should work fine, i'l check today.
 
Okay, so on my better pc I don't get errors when enabling the Jotnar on the launcher modules. (still has the little symbol and says there are conflicts.) I tried starting a game, loaded in fine, everything going well. Take a couple turns... and then...crash. I wanna beat the game with every civ and the jotnar seem really cool lol. Any tips for getting them to work?
 
so, is it the svn or the release version ? (if it is the svn, please upload a save before the crash so i can study it and fix it. If it is the release, i encourage you to try the svn one ^^)

It's the SVN. Version 295, newest snapshot available. I'm no longer crashing, but I'm having serious issues with the Jotnar. For starters, I keep getting a recurring event. This event reads: "the barbarian hordes are at our gates. all hope is lost!" (or something to that effect) No matter what choice I make, nothing happens. I get this event damn near every turn. I will also attach an image of a gamebreaking issue I'm having.


Also, sometimes when I load saves I have no hud at all!

ok that's the damn steam and svn bug again.... as far as i understand, the steam version of the game with the svn version of the mod doesn't read python files that are in subfolders, causing all events to have no python requirement and hud and diplo text to not appear. At this point, i have strictly no idea what's the exact issue...

Ok questions for the people who use the steam version :

- How often do you get the python bug ( events firing all the time, hud and diplo disappearing) ?
- Did you ever get it with the non-svn version ?
- did you play svn versions of other mods ( C2C has one if you want to try)?
- if yes, did you get the same bug or not ?
 
None of the modmod leaders (from any civilization) use their diplo text. It always defaults to the generic. I checked the XML, and it does exist, but I've never seen it used.

Also, the download link says that the most recent change was in 2014, and yet that seems clearly not to be the case. Will re-downloading the mod include the updates you've made? Is that how you're supposed to do it?
 
last release in a separate archive is from 2014. Since then, we've (or rather i've) been focusing on svn releases. as for the diplo thing, most of it should already be fixed in the svn but if you notice some specifics that aren't, please report it.
 
Thanks! I'm currently having some trouble with the svn. When I try to download the mod, I get a warning that "target folder is not empty", when the folder is nonexistent. It then proceeds to fail to download, saying that it can't make the given directory (the folder.svn), and that access is denied. I have completely removed Ashes of Erebus from my computer prior to installing this, so that "non-empty" folder does not exist on my computer. What can I do to fix this?
 
Ok, I've started playing the newest versions. Here's what I've noticed.

On rare occasion (once) there's been no text or options on a diplo screen. I'm not using Steam though.

All leaders that weren't in the original FFH continue to default to the generic diplo text, even in cases where they have unique text in the XML. Falamar and Faeryl Viconia also fail to use their unique first contact diplo text, but everything else with them are fine. So it seems to me there's a problem in the XML. (Edit: With Keelyn's first contact diplo text also not working, I think that is a general issue with first contact text.)

I have also occasionally had no UI whatsoever in game.

You made a lot of changes to the music. Overall I like them, but the Malakim's seems inappropriate. Yes it sounds Arabesque, but it is far too furious and militant for what the Malakim and Lugus stand for, especially for Varn Gosam.

I'll try, but it's quite inconsistent. I restarted the game and it was fine, so I don't even know it it's connected to the save file.

Also, I've twice had the Aeron's Chosen event go for a worker. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it is hilarious.

Edit: Is Revelry supposed to culture drain other cities? I just lost all my culture because a player cast it. There's also been no notification of a golden age. If it's been changed, no mention is made in the Pedia, and I'd strongly discourage this change if it isn't a bug, as it makes a cultural victory virtually impossible with the Balseraph in play.

That's one violent worker. Maybe he hacks their legs off with a woodcutting axe?

Well that's an effect of the same issue, the checks on the event happen in a python file that's somehow not read.

It's something i'm currently testing, it's not working how i want it to be yet ( The idea is that Revelry would cause some balseraph nationality to appear in cities, based on distance to Balseraph capital, not erase all culture ^^)
 
Things have gotten worse. The game now crashes upon attempting to open any game. This is true for my current game, older versions of my game, and any new games I try to start. There seems to be an underlying lethal error. No information is given.

I did notice an update became available 1 or 2 days ago, though it's not listed on the download page. If you think this would fix the lethal error, I have not downloaded it yet.
