I want a patch bit to add at least 1 girl leader for each tribe as we're under represented! Being a girl doesn't mean you only want to be the 'sexy' girl from Russia or Spain or England. Maybe I want to be Greek or Roman, huh? For the multiplayer being ablt to build your face like in Neverwinter Nights or something would be cool!

Well that's true but even if you want to make a custom battle for instance with your mates from school over Atlantis and all you've got is some old guys to choose from so I have to be Russia and everyone starts making remarks about how cute that girl is and everything!
If you want to play the civilisations you should be able to but a choice of which girl you want to be would be nice!

OH BTW I've just read the 'What can't you post' policy and it says 'sexually orientated'. Please don't ban me because I know this discussion is about girls' avatars but it's not flirty or anything!

My hopes died a week ago. I was mostly guesstimating based off what I think would be reasonable. However, probably like you reasonable has been fed to the dogs IMO. If it ain't out in a week, then everyone will hate me for saying that it would. Oh well though.

Well I suppose the benefits of what I am suggesting here are limited but even so, playing a girly if you're a boy or being forced to play either annoyed Isabella, ugly Victoria or that street-corner Russian is silly! I don't want to look like that... even to AIs! Girls have pride.
I don't think so. I don't think it should trouble anyone that they need to re-enter their XP code. It really isn't a big deal. The only reason it might be a problem is if you are using a pirated version of windows, in which case no one gives a **** what problems you are having.

Chances are that after the little note I dropped in the admins inbox I'm gonna be going to the forum jail for a loooooong time so I guess I better say my bit before he reads it.
Most of us already have this game, some are fanboys, some are just gamers, some are just here to dish out anonymous abuse directed at firaxis, some here just to dish out abuse. Regardless of what has happened it cannot be altered, they cocked up, who cares? They seem to be getting off thier ars*s and sorting it out which is all that matters.
Consider the number of DXdiag files and logs they have to sift through on a daily basis, 8-10 hours a day of reading the same old cr*p, sweating it out over a dodgy keyboard in a draughty office drinking the worlds cheapest, nastiest coffee all just to keep a baying mob like us happy. Have a heart, give them time. If it comes to like 10 patches and still no joy THEN I guess they deserve to get ripped into but as you all fine well know, the test of time is a long, long road with many a corner, bump, twist and turn. Who knows what will happen? What if Civilization 4.1 runs like a dream? What if they make good on the money we have all spent and give us the game we all know it is?
I would lay money that of the THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of people who have flamed, abused, mocked and otherwise badmouthed firaxis, only a few hundred will ever post a "sorry" or a "thank you".
Like it has been said by many men wiser than I, patience.

If anyone says they are sorry for being upset over this, they IMO have just been converted to fanboyism as it is called on here. You have to learn from your mistakes. From what I have seen yes, patience is a wonderful virtue. Hard to practice and noble to accomplish. However, patience would not be required of us if Take 2 had excerised this same thing. Actually, I take that back. If they would have held the game to make a better product than what was released, (I know it worked for some people flawlessly but trust me it could have been better) then we would all practice patience together.
This whole project was rushed. You can see it in the release and , unfortunatly, in the performance of the game ATM. (Unbalanced tech tree, quick obsolete units in later stages of gameplay, and other various elements I have seen many people discussing I can't think of right now)
But patience as most other virtues in this world don't make fast easy money.
I dont quite get what you mean about the 'admin box' X, I haven't seen, personally, any real reason to ban you. But I am not a mod and don't know what you meant here either.
