I agree about the Egyptian flag. It's very nice.

If you've never seen the Macedonian flag, look it up. It looks good, simply put. Same with the flag of Bavaria, Prussia, and Saxony (despite its simple white and green).

I don't get it. What do all the Aussies and Kiwis have against the Union Jack?

For me, it's simply that the Union Flag represents a lack of self-determination.
And, yes I'm of stereotypically English/Irish/Scottish descent. But, Australia is my country, not Britain. I drink beer, not lager. Christmas is hot. Soccer is for girl's blouses (unless we're in the World Cup somehow).

I like the Eureka Flag, except it's mainly used by trade unions and white supremacists.

Dae-han Min-guk!~~ It is a good one.
I once saw a pair of thongs (flip-flops) with what was meant to be the S. Korean flag on them, but the blue part was red. I dubbed them the Empire Strikes Back edition.

Probably because it makes them look like they're still colonies. But I still don't care for any of the proposed replacements.
