Run?

(I read it as he moves automatically, according to Diamondeye's whims, or the role of a die, or some combination thereof.)

Heh. I was a level 378 milletian before. I can handle that :p

That's nothing. I've been a schoolteacher. Ninth graders!

Is there a reserve list? If so stick me on it! If not, well, I guess I'll just keep watching...

Backwards, glad you're volounteering here. Civplayah is the first and only reserve yet, so I saw no need to write that up, but since cindle insists on being late, I am going to replace him with Civplayah. So you're the new first reserve. Woo! :trophy3rd:

Update will be here soon. I will move for Civplayah this round.

Update: Movement Phase 1

... And so the adventure started for real:

The Bannor champion, Lady Renata, decided to venture north. She entered a dark chamber (Room 14), lit up only by candles in the middle of the room, placed on some sort of altar. As she examined it closer, she realized that it was of the Ashen Veil. It looked to be made of black marble or obsidian, and on it was a small coffer of incense, ready to be lit.

The Infernal Autolycus, after having attached his newly found ranged weapon to his own belt, proceeded north towards the centre of the dungeon, intent on his goal. The room he entered (Room 27) was almost completely in darkness, and quite empty. Yet, Autolycus sensed movement and distant noises, and as he looked up, a small swarm of bats came towards him. He quickly fended them off, but not without one of them clawing his left shoulder.

The Elohim gentleman, Catharsis, now thoroughly rested, ventured south into a small chamber (Room 12), which seemed mostly void apart from some strange ledges along the walls. On one of them, securely above the reach of even the old man's stave, sat a laughing jester. Both his clothes, his cackle and his makeup gave his Balseraph identity away, and he smiled at the stranger. Despite his weapon and shield, the clown-man seemed completely harmless, and sure enough, when the Elohim man came closer, the strangely clad Balseraph asked him: "Looks like you need help, buddy. Well, I need company. How about I ask you a riddle, and if you answer corretly, I'mma throw this here weapon down to you?"
Before waiting for a reply, the clown got up and stood in a poetic positure, asking out loud: "Why do you always find what you are looking for in the last place you look?"

Meanwhile, the Lanun sprig dragged himself towards the centre of the dungeon, into what appeared to be an old kitchen (Room 23). The floor was littered with kitchen utensils (although it looked like knives and other useful items had been removed), and against one of the walls stood an old cabinet.

The Dark Elf, rhawn, draws an arrow and puts it to his bowstring, quietly sneaking eastwards into the neighbooring chamber (Room 2). In there, he sees several objetcs of interest; a chest, unlocked, and the corpse of a former adventurer. But also, he spots two goblins, only a split second before they spot him, and he manages to fire the arrow at the enemies before they charge towards him. The arrow securely lodges itself in one of the goblins as they close in, the other one sporting a small shield. As the shieldbearing one closes in and begins attacked rhawn, the dark elf lodges another arrow through the eye of the other goblin before resorting to close combat. The golbin manages only glancing blows and has to use the shield to avoid lethal blows several times, before the small greenskin finally dies and the Svartalfar picks up his shield.

The champion of Jonas Endain, Kill Fire, proceeds southwards after having a short talk with the old sage, and enters into a room (Room 10) dominated by a huge anvil and hammer, as well as the shattered remains of a shield around them. A single ray of sunlight penetrates the ceiling and falls on a strange carving on the floor.

The Malakim, who is currently having an identity crisis, decides to take a stroll north and discovers a room dominated by a huge rock (Room 20), apparently covering some sort of well.

Seon, the Calabim adventurer, does not feel the poison in his system due to the curse that the iron weapon has apparently put upon him, but instead runs eastward, through a room where he barely manages to discern a fountain with clear blue water (Room 30) before turning left and heading north, where he finds a room with a dead rat, a broken poisoned spear through its cranium.

GM comment: As you can read, I haven't had the players entering rooms where other players started their turns engage combat this round. Is it too hard to encounter each other this way or is it okay?
The alternative would have caused Civplayah and Renata to fight this round, as well as Seon and sprig.

Please post your interaction orders in the thread. If you need a list of objects in the rooms, please ask.

Given that there doesn't seem to be anything in the room, the infernal Autolycus sits down and takes a brief rest.

Sure, tell me the items.

How do we encounter each other, Diamondeye? Only if we move into the same room at the same time? That might in fact be too restrictive. What happens if we each try to move into the room the other was in previously?

@Sprig: imma commin 4 ya :mwaha:

I sniff the air again and chase sprig.

Can our movement choice during a movement phase be "stay put"?

Also, as for the interactions, I don't think I could live with myself if I let a Bannor champion do anything with an Ashen Veil altar.

Kill the alter! Do the divine rite of Junil!hopefully forces of hell will kill her smirk smirk

I totally would if I could. Can I just pick up the candle and walk away with it?

Also, say I were, ahem, coveting a certain Svartalfar's healing potion. If I attack him and I win (but don't kill him), do I get it? I'm guessing not.

I can't believe that so many people does not notice my white fonts.
Yah! Kill eachother

Bah.

I'm a Bannor. I have no subtlety to speak of. Just some brawn, your average amount of low cunning, and a whole lot of self-righteousness.

Renata (Room 14): Altar of the Ashen Veil
Autolycus (Room 27): - (Bats attacking people in the room)
Catharsis (Room 12): Balseraph Jester
sprig (Room 23): Kitchen rubble, cabinet (two closets)
rhawn (Room 2): Chest, adventurer corpse
Kill Fire (Room 10): Anvil/Hammer with Shield pieces, Strange etching
Civplayah (Room 20): Huge Rock
Seon (Room 24): -

Read the bottom comment: Currently, you have to move into the same square to engage, but I am thinking of making it so that as long as there is overlap between the rooms two players move between in a turn, they would engage in combat. I need opinions on this?

Eh, I don't know.

I'm going to choose to ignore the evil nasty altar.

I smile at the Balseraph jester and say the following:

"Hello there, my affable chum, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance! As for your riddle, well, as we Elohim say to the fresh-faced young novices seeking refuge in Sirona: if you have found what you are seeking already, why continue to seek? The reason we all find Sirona in the last place we look is because once we have found her, there is nowhere else we need look."
