Ow... I seems to be the only one who doesn't know that spy-instigated revolts doesn't injure the defenders ...

... this goes to shows my tremendous (in)experience in espionage.

In that case, let's concentrate on stealing techs.
Orleans seems relatively undefended ... but the problem with only one stack is that whichever city you move towards, the defenders would be shifted accordingly. The AI are quite adept in this regards. And we are unwilling to pillage the roads (in order to use them later).
So, the only way is to bring two stacks ... and in an attempt to do that, we meet the Loius stack:
You would think that "Ha! only a sword has terrain defense. Should be easy picking!", right?
Wrong!

The RNG decides to kill off my two maces without a scratch on the bl00dy sword. Darn! The stack was later decimated (I meant Loius, not ours!!!), but it also set back my plans of having a main stack devouring cities while another stack lure the french to defend another city. This means that I was only able to bring a second stack right at the end of my turnset, and it also means we would be facing longbows instead.
But I think the tatics would work. The main French defenders are all crowded in Orleans, while our new stack is facing little resistance in Djon.
One thing though is I think we settled too much military instructors. We need some medics in the field, and so, here we go:
He is now in the stack outside Djon.
Now, for my espionage practice: I bring research up to get Mediation ... that will unlock Priesthood for our spy to steal:
Da-da! Bingo! Sweet. The bad thing is the spy is teleported back to our capitol, and has to repeat its long journey back to France. The good thing is we have two more spies up front
After Priesthood, I pumped up our research to get Monarchy in, as the French is researching Feudalism for us
So, I turned off research and instead pump up the espionage slider next. We should be able to steal Feudalism next turn or so.
As to Hatty, she got a good ramming and spanking from us.
One funny thing is how the hell did this warrior appear behind our lines? A freaking paratrooper?
At the end, our troops are heading to Thebes. Egypt should fall simply with this stack of troop:
So all reinforcement should go south towards France. Let's just hope that Loius don't get machinery too soon ... crossbows would be a PITA.
