I played 15 turns. We have some interesting options open now. First, an oddity that I'm going to post as my joke. I think we got moved from somewhere around here since I don't see how you can claim these fish. It also explains why Gandhi has 22% of the world's land
The report:
235 - Inherited turn. Looks good.
236 - We encounter Gandhi. Immediately declare war.
237 - Bandits are ravaging our countryside. I pay 12 gold.
238 - Gunpowder completed.
239 - Calendar completed.
241 - Theology completed. I would have gone after astro first but I realized that we're out of non-military builds and I didn't want to build any military before we got theocracy. We also get a lucky event:
242 - GS is born and settled.
245 - We prove that the world is round.
248 - Sistine is BIFAL.
249 - AP is completed. Parthenon is BIFAL (I had invested one turn of hammers).
250 - We get our Parthenon refund of 90 gold. Astronomy is also completed. End of set.
Churchill does NOT have feudalism yet as he appears to be isolated. Gandhi, Gilgamesh, and Zara are in a love fest unfortunately
Gandhi has the most land out of the three but I think his over expansion has hurt his tech rate as he's not teching very quickly yet. However that will probably change as he hits guilds and banking to generate more gold.
We don't have any boats yet, nor do we have any military units to load on. This is what our city looks like:
I recommend completing the observatory first. I thought about going pacifism after astro to unlock AW but that's a lot of hammers that we'll need to divert from military builds. If we're not planning on attacking anybody soon then I think AW before military may be a better idea (and staying in OR until we finish AW). If we're skipping AW then we should go theocracy ASAP and start building maces while teching towards biology.
The AI isn't even close to challenging our biology sling as nobody has paper (or CS). The closest is Churchill who has philo.
