Freak Dancing - Too Hot For Highschool

They can make it at their own building, then. Oops! They don't have one. Well, I guess it's T.S. for them.
No they just go to someones house whe their parents are out and throw the party there - and then there is drinking and what not, it would be much safer to have the dances at a school.

You know if you changed the date to say 1986, the principal sounds exactly like adults did when I was teenager.

Every new generation of teens pushes the boundaries of what their parents think is acceptable.

Do I find that type of dancing overly sexualized? Heck yeah! But I would rather my kids work out their teenaged angst at chaperoned dances then only have booze, drug ridden house parties as an outlet. I remember doing both as a teenager and it wasn't the school danses that got kids in trouble or the girls pregnant.

Its funny how becoming a parent slowly turns you into a hypocrite and you end up trying to stop all the behaviors that you had/did when you where a teen.

I haven't been to a local high school dance lately. It wasn't too bad from what I remember of them I don't think. But I didn't go to many. I am mostly thinking of my proms. But those are rather formal.

I see alot younger girls wearing miniskirts now. Or at least it seems that girls didn't wear that stuff that often at all really when I was 15 and 16. I saw alot of short gym shorts and but not too many daisy dukes either.

I definatley think an increased amount of sexuality has became a burden of a younger generation. Modonna made a pretty big impact on the new generations I think. She sucks now, but her younger stuff was pretty wild for its times and threw off alot of conformity in sexuality. To new generations anyways. Then new artists have been utilizing it since then, mostly rap and alternative.
Country holds its conformity pretty strong still. But is not a popular date music. So has less of an appeal to younger people who focus on nothing past who is more attractive than who naturally and are getting more into the dating scene.

Anyways, the dancing is stuff you will see in the club anymore with people in their 20s from the sounds of it. It isn't extremely common but isn't rare either.

However, I would not be against the school having the dress code of a casual retail business for school function dances. If the teens know someplace else to dress like that, then it is up to the parent to have them in that kind of atmosphere.
Does anyone here want their 15-17 year old grinding their butts on some guys groin? We guys have a hard time learning to control our erections around this period of our life to. I am not saying it would be impossible but the kid is probably thinking about dead puppies or something to tame himself. lol. Seriously, though.

I don't know if I do or not. I haven't been in the situation of the parent honestly. I have a younger sister who just graduated though. I remember hoping she doesn't get pregnant in school. And she didn't. :)
But she didn't dress too bad either. Rarely if ever wears make-up. But she is a pretty good looking girl I think, but it is my sister so I am kinda bias probably.:p

Here's the thing though. I didn't like alot of the guys she was dating. I wouldn't want many of them grinding with her. Her friends, though! They were pretty good guys and could easily get my approval on it. But she never dated them! And I know they were interested.
If I was a father, I would like the school to reserve a little permission over who can grind with my daughter. If I was put in the situation, I would think.

So if I want to allow my daughter to frequently dress like that and help promote it, I can allow my kid to throw that kind of party at my house with my supervision. Any other parents would be welcomed as well. But now once again, I can see any guys that come in and have potential on grinding on my daughter. Just in case.

Alot of people aren't watching alot of kids in American society right now. That is where the problem ones come in. There a misc. ones that people aren't trying to guide with a morale compass at all. They got parents but no steady foundation for communication. And kids aren't good dealing with that stuff yet. Always exceptions to these rules, but not the rule.

I don't know. I think a casual dress code for school functions would be a good idea. They have got to learn that for their new job anyways. Unless they are going to work in a bar or in manufacturing. Once they get out of high school College is where they are given absolutley free reign almost. And my daughter can pick for herself the guy she wants at that time. She has flown the nest.

Isnt this just some kind of protectionism by parents, who dont really want to see their daughters pregnant, who dont accept promiscuous sexual behaviour, who think their daughters dont know what they may end up having 9 months later?

Send in the cops and arrest them, then. Break the law, you get busted.

It is a matter of the school not being a safe-haven for sexual activity, it simply does not belong in school, end of story.

Drinking laws deserve shot, buried in the sand without benefit of a coffin, and to have their grave routinely desecrated anyway.

It's just as well the cops "forget" to enforce that unpalatable bilge the morally "righteous" (ie, annoying dunce) passed because they don't like teens and young adults being teens and young adults.

Actually in Vegas they need a warrent and the best they can do is make people move their cars if they get in the way of people getting their cars out (of the drive way).
Here is how it goes when cop belive people have underage kids their after midnight or drinking.

1.Cops show up and ask for a owner or dweller over 18 (so an 18 year old with his address on his ID can awnser)
2.The cops warn you that if everyone who is under 18 or under 21 and drinking doesn't leave then they are going to go for a express (2 hours+ wait) warrent to do a sweep.
3. Ussually everyone leaves, the cops never bother to tell your parents :p :p :p .

Send them in and arrest them    No way that would happen in Vegas.
