Freak Dancing - Too Hot For Highschool

Those girls need the practice before they meet me on the dance floor in a club.
That's right they aren't "old enough to dance the night away."

Personally I would have no problem with this as a person, as I hate dancing, and my skills don't go far beyond slow dancing.

The principal has the right to enforce whatever he feels necessary in his school, so long as it does not infringe upon the student's rights. There's no 'right to freak-dance,' so what's the problem? If the students still want to do that then can go to the club.

What's that, they can't get into the club because they're not 18? An even better reason to ban it.

You have to be 21 to get into the clubs here in vegas ....which is why I suspect we throw some of the best house partys (or so I've heard)

Parents and teachers across the United States are cracking down on so-called "freak dancing.
LMAO from the link .....I knew what freak dancig was when I was 3 .....and I am 19 now, how could you be an american and not know? stay in your closet listing to sounds of the rain forest while you have your fingers in your ear?

+ the dancing was EXTREMLY tame compared to normal freak dancing.

Sounds like a sequel to Footloose if you ask me.

This seems to happen with every generation; there is just one thing that adults say "needs" to be banned, even when, as kids, those ame adults fought to prevent certain things they liked from being banned.

Last time I checked, people didn't get pregnant or contract STD's from dancing.
Exactly! You know, I think the principal was making rules with emotion and not logic. Nobody should be allowed to do that.

You want logic. The guy wants to keep his job. As an employee of the people whos kids he is responceablity for while in the school the last thing he wants is some thing happening to a girl like a mass groping on the dance floor. Do you have any idea how much of a fiasco that would cause? You get some poor girl forcably molested. Worst case (for the school) she tells her parents, they sue the school for allowing this to hapen, the princapal gets fired, The school system gets underfunded by millions to pay for lawyers and settalments, and hopefuly the molesters get to see some time. Kids don't think about the big picture. Its always about now and whats fun or feels good. I hate to break it to you but there are other people in your life who your actions affect. There is a place and time for everything a school event is not a place to dry hump. Do that in your own house after drinking your beer and smoking a bong. When what you do can potentialy jepordize some one elses livelyhood and they are in a position of power and respounability you can not complain when that action is cut off at the knees.

OMG guys, whats wrong with you? Sequel to footloose? Separate girls to small boxes to destroy all footloose. If school is preparing students to life, it should be their main goal primarly.

This type of dancing should be fully encouraged by the administration; those that partake in it should then be executed by gunshot to the head, as a service to the human race.

My school doesnt care. They don't care how you dance. There is about 6 chaperones during our homecoming dance this year (My High School size is about 300 not all of them came) anyway, everybody usually just got in 1 huge group and started dancing like that.

Also the teachers dont care if we play songs with the "F word" in it. Not it's true. We started singing a song loudly with the F word in it and the teachers didnt even mind...

I have a better idea. The kids make their own dance.

This is what happens when you subject your dances to the whims of school bureaucrats. While I don't dance at all, let alone freak, I don't care if kids do it or not.

For now, the kids should boycott all school functions and bankrupt those clowns.
But of course knowing Americans they'll just do whatever the men in black suits tell them.

Yes, anyone who partakes in an activity you don't like but doesn't affect you should die because of it. And to think you want liberty if your sig is to be believed.

Girls do it just as much as guys do. Hell, even more when they semi-freak with thier friends. If it does happen, it's probably two consenting parties. But at any rate, when these dances arise at my school, they keep at least one light on.

LMAO people who go to the beach naked or breed too right?

There is no reason kids need to be dancing like that. Humping is not an acceptable dance form in school. Period.

Sounds to me like this is the first reasonable case I've ever heard where the ACLU needs to sue someone into not enforcing their morals upon their students. Now, I, being a 16 year old at a private Catholic high school (which has made no attempt to ban such dancing,) may have a biased opinion, but nonetheless, I'd say that any school rule based on moral indignation is probably a problem, within reasonable limits, of course. (no porn or sex in a school...)

And parents once again show a dismal inability to understand what their kids are actually doing and how they actually think.

Question : You are a teen. You and your girl have just been told to stop humping at the school dance or leave. What do you do?

A)Dance nice little dance like innocent little children your parents so desperately wants you to be
OR
B)Find some car backseat or other secluded spot and continue exploring the fun world of sexual promiscuity.

*rolls eyes* (that's a preemptive answer to the people who actually think A is the more likely answer.)

It doesn't matter, the school should not be supporting the humping. Denying it is going to happen and other sexual acts are going to happen is just as lame, but the school does not need to advocate and harbor such sexual activities and mimicking.

I'm not so much talking about the idea of the principal banning (school dance are silly in and off themselves. Those kids are just going to stop coming to the dance, that's all, and ultimately the school will stop wasting monies on organizing them), but about the parents being outraged over kids dancing like that.

They can make it at their own building, then. Oops! They don't have one. Well, I guess it's T.S. for them.

This is what happens when responsible administrators lay down needed restrictions against overtly sexual behavior inside our public schools.

For now, the kids should boycott all school functions and bankrupt those clowns.
Yes, I'm sure the lost revenue from unsuccessful school dances will cause our public education system to go belly up in just a matter of days.

But of course knowing Americans they'll just do whatever the men in black suits tell them.
It doesn't sound like you do know Americans.

This is why I don't go to school dances!
