She ain't the only one. ;) I've tried it too. As for why it parses for the peasants, I don't know.

Probably because vB can't stop it...

Just a reminder....posting with mod tags could lead to an instant ban....

I figured that much. Glad I never tried it in a regular post.

Is it custom or was it just there?

I have asked for specific smilies and TF added them :w00t:

Go to My Account, and click on Edit Options.

Scroll down some, you shld be able to find the settings there.

Has anyone else issues with the server randomly timing out?

Heres another question: Poster A posts something rather rude. Poster B reports it quickly. Then 5 minutes after the post, Poster A comes to their senses and edits it out with an apology. What does a moderator do?

I'm not positive, but I would guess that they would do nothing. I was in a similar situation in which I said something and didn't make it clear enough that I was responding to someone who wasn't on the site. (Murderous Afghans, I believe.) Some people responded and pointed out that it looked like I was flaming. After seeing the messages, I edited my post to clarify my statement, then went on to make a post explaining myself. No infractions were levied against me.

And since I mentioned that, I would like to thank the moderators in that case for their consideration. (Or lack of having a chance to swoop down on me. :p)

If you edit it out before it becomes an issue, I think most cases the moderator will let you off.

I have had cases where I have apologised in thread, and that was enough for the moderator.

The lazy man in me really wishes that the 'youtube' BBCode was shortened to:

[yt][videocodehere[/yt].

Is this something that will never happen? (same subject, but the 'noparse' code might be easier if it was [np][/np], but this is less of an issue).

Another board Im on uses [tube]. So perhaps.

I know another VBulleetin forum that does just that. Not sure how hard it would be to implement.

Perhaps one of the custom tags like the moderator ones.
