What happened to the "download this thread" button?

While I'm on the subject, would it be possible (if we can have it back) to download threads with the vB coding included, so that eg if someone is quoting, it shows some [quote] tags rather than just text?

I believe it's a hack that has to be added. And I would love to see the vB code added as well. Makes for some interesting reading.

It downloads a text version of the thread. It's useful for searching very long threads and for printing, I guess, although I've never printed a thread. And it was located on the Thread Tools dropdown on the upper right side of the top of the thread.

Can moderators see pre-edited posts?

Depends. Of course if we get there before you do, and sometimes we'll get the unedited part as part of a thread subscription email. But not after the edit. I heard way back when that TF could see them, but I'm not sure if the person was making it up or not. I don't think TF has officiall said one way or the other.

Is the forum going slower than usual today ?
I have to wait at least 1 minute every time the "Sending request to forums.civfanatics.com" thing starts; but after that, things go at normal speed. This has been happening all day.

can't we have a search this thread option somewhere. I find that sometimes I want to find a specific post in 15 pages. Very hard to do.

Yes, and the download thread option is a known item that still needs to be fixed.

Two different logos? The logo stays the same until you change the skin. What do you mean by logo? Do you mean the thread marker next to a thread? It is different so that you can easily distinguish "hot" topics from normal ones; hot topics might contain more information, for example.

Are you talking about when the forum has a habit of starting to load the page and you can start reading posts and all, then it finally gets done loading every last thing and 'resets' to the spot it started at?

Yes but it does it about 7 times as it loads

Is it a thread with many pictures? Because most pictures take more space than the empty spaces the forum uses when the picture isn't loaded yet, the total length of the thread becomes bigger when a picture is loaded.
