Frequently Asked Questions

I don't understand what you said. I put FfH1 in the Warlords AND vanilla Civ4 folders just to be sure, then I opened up Warlords->Advanced->Load a Mod->Fall from Heaven 1.00 and then it closes the Warlords window to open the mod's, then I get a message that says it isn't responding.

Were you trying to tell me that I have to put in the vanilla Civ disk to play it?

Yeah good thing I have some money left over from Christmas, FfH2 looks pretty interesting. Can't wait to try it out! :D

How can I select units in a stack ready for promotion (like Ctrl H selects wounded units)?

I don't think that there are shortcut buttons for that.
BTW ppl I just stopped by Best Buy, now have BTS, and I'm downloading FFH2!!!:D

How many years is a turn ment to represent?

There isn't enough lore in FfH to accurately set up any kind of passage of time, if they made a constant, then there would be too many exceptions like in the original Civ4. It's like 5 blank checks, it doesn't matter what number you put on it, it's still five checks.

- BTW I finished downloading FFH2, Somnium rocks!

I think the ingame turns are only turns because the timespan is different in every scenario. In the Ljosalfar vs Svartalfar one for example, each turn is one of 8 times of the day from Dusk, Noon... Dawn, you get the point. (And each side is stronger during one part, and the Werewolves turn to men during the day I think)

And btw, I am the World Champion of Somnium! :p

Quick question on one of the scenarios, not entirely sure where to put it:

For the Blood of Angels scenario, am I supposed not to be able to make any settlers (as Mahala)? It seems a bit strange given this isn't mentioned in the 'special rules' section of the scenario info, and there are loads of resources placed in nice potential city spots that I'll struggle to access with my current cities.

The answer I think is yes to that one. And the resources are mostly placed by random (try restarting and they won't be the same) so it's not designed around them. The Barbarians will spawn cities in the early jungle area so there is potential to expand before you get to war the Bannor.

Hey, I noticed that the neutral Civs get a -2 diplo with evil Civs and no bonus with good Civs, is that intentional? Because it's gonna keep me from playing evil Civs because they get a -2 with neutral and -4 with good Civs.

What does the promotion precision do? You can get it after drill 4 but there's no explanation in the civlopedia. Edit: And while we're at it, what % damage does Keen Sight do?

Cheers.

Sorry you've confused me there. If it doesn't do damage what does keen sight do? What does precision add damage to? (Yep, I need to patch, but i'm in the middle of a big game)

Keen sight increases the units chance (20% if I remember correctly) to perform a defensive strike.

Precision increases the damage a defensive strike does (think it's 10%.)

Are you planning to make animated LHs?I made one of Cardith Lorda if you want to use it.I wanted to use the head of Ekmek's Caligula, but I don't know how to do that. What do you think?
