Obviously you've never been to FailBlog.

I have been to FailBlog. Many, many times.

I just hate going to a "fail picture site" and seeing a pic that is an obvious fail but have to be reminded of that fact by some idiot saying, "I know it is a fail pic, but I an going to paste a huge "FAIL" on it because the viewer is too stupid to notice.

God, I hate those people!!!!!!!!

OK Merc, maybe you can explain to me the finer points of humor. How is just plastering the word FAIL on a picture increase its funnyness? If it does, I don't get the reason.

By stating that it is a fail, it insults the viewer, as it insinuates that they cannot understand the basic idea that what's going on there is a fail without being told by someone in huge, bold, red letters.

It insults the viewer? Seems a bit of a stretch to say that. It's not like it's captioned:

"Hey, you suck. This is a FAIL, and i captioned this such because you suck so much you wouldn't have realized it."

I personally like it sometimes, in the way that someone pointing out something obvious can be funny sometimes.
