Funny Screenshots: Part Deux

Oh, and these:
1. The Ethiopians are well known for their staged animal fights, often attracting thousands of spectators, held in the deserts of Somalia. Once a city was founded there they were banned, as the fights were deemed to be dangerous to the populace.
2. Couldn't he have won a more critical battle like that?!?!?!
3. This city (Paris) was very isolated - not enough room to swing a cat (or found a new city for that matter). So it was pretty backwards when I conquered it on my first completed Noble game (Space Race). However, its culture is 95% Ethiopian. The Ethiopians are a recent colony of Egypt, and they're a third of the way around the world!

Spoiler :
I think what caused this phenomenon in (3) is that Ethiopia took over France's spot in the player list. Also note this is from when my game was patched to 3.13. The 3.17 or 3.19 patches may have fixed this.

Re the successful warrior - usually streaks of results like that happen against the player. It's nice to see evidence that the opposite can actually occur !

Yep. Unfortunately I was in isolation, and that game was never finished.

#2 looks like Free Wins vs. Barbs. On Prince and below, you get a certain number of guaranteed victories against barb units, before you start having to fight them normally. If you can avoid barbs entirely in the beginning, you can potentially exploit it later on - of course, by the time I realised that, I'd moved up to Monarch, where this no longer applies :(

Could be, actually, now you mention it. Think it was Noble...  how did I not work that out? Still, it's a neat screenshot.

EDIT: Sorry if these are backing up a bit, but I have a lot of screenshots I've always wanted to post here.

#1:  Gandhi, my vassal, attacks somebody else!!!! (Warlord diff., an old game)
#2: Wierd graphics glitch on the scout makes him all teamcolour...
#3: Why, oh why would they ask to join SUMERIA?

RFC 3000 BC, stupid luck. I still didn't adopt it until turn 84 for a guaranteed win.

It's worth to note that I also founded Taoism, take that China!

For those unfamiliar with this mod (it's included on default with your BTS CD, try it, it's amazingly fun), China usually always founds Confucianism and Taoism, without Confucianism, China seemed out of sync and I had a higher score than China by 0AD.

And all these years we thought insanity was the problem...

And the beaver is just out of his reach. Too much alcohol around and having to chase after beaver? Poor Monty.

Insinuation? Whatever does that mean?

Cancel my deals with the Romans? Now why would I ever do that?

sad Wang ... we're in 1170AD, and still don't know how to Farm

worst thing is that I'm playing Emperor :P

... might be because Kubai Khan of Zulu nailed all but the offshore city when he had 5 cities

Guess you could say he can't tell his Wang from a hole in the ground. :p

hey - they guy is playing it smart. His 1 city is a single land tile island with no place to farm ... why would he want agriculture?

On discovering that there was an option to play in other languages, I thought I would test out my schoolboy French. Well, look who turned up as my neighbour...

I don't think I'll be playing in Nahuatl...
