I thoroughly enjoyed myself when Pyongyang (HRE) declared war on about everyone else but me. First I gave them a few state-of-the-art soldiers, but then I realised giving them nukes would be more fun.
So the southern part of the continent is pretty much a nuclear wasteland now.
By the way, does anyone have an idea where 'Barbarian Pirate Corvette' stealth destroyers come from? They suddenly appeared (well, appeared : they are invisible, and it took me a while to figure out what unit would make them visible) and pillaged all my fishing boats.

When I conquered some Celt cities, 2-3 tiles of FoW appeared. There is always a small chance that barbarian warriors appear in FoW, though this is not very common in the modern era.

Yes, I noticed that, it's just that it's not funny anymore, I mean, it was funny in the beginning, specially in that screenie of him demanding a conversion of religion to Judaism, but not anymore. It's like those screenshots of Lincoln switching to Slavery, they were only funny the first hundred times.

Pondering Wearing A Hat
Possibly one of the worst starting location letdowns ever....
You start out, and around you you have a good mix of plains and grassland, with eventual oil and horses, with silver and sheep immediately visible. Then all around you is tundra and ice....
Note, I was England in that game. Also, I had the interface turned off for that screenshot.

That's actually nearly a perfect recreation of a start I had as Zulu once...
Barbarian paratroopers would be a nightmare. Imagine them coming out of nowhere and pillaging your only oil while you have 10 tanks a turn away from being finished.
