Worse -- and it was my start, to boot (screeny taken in WB):

Two silvers, two crabs, a wet corn, and all that forest in the BFC.... surrounded by nasty, nasty terrain. Poo :(

Yup. That's one crappy start alright. Regenerate?

Starting save? :D

Definitely go for the Levee there.

^ You can still farm over bananas before calendar provided they're next to fresh water, yielding 4:food: instead of 5:food: but still better than the base 3:food:; after biology they're just like plantations yield-wise, only without the resource bonuses and the ability to trade them

I just had a two dry corn, FP and gold Ramesses start, but ragequitted after a barb killed my settler :mischief:

Possibly one of the worst starting location letdowns ever....

You start out, and around you you have a good mix of plains and grassland, with eventual oil and horses, with silver and sheep immediately visible. Then all around you is tundra and ice....

Note, I was England in that game. Also, I had the interface turned off for that screenshot.

That's a freak amount of sworsmen, indeed. And I encourage you to kill off the people you are at war with, just because.

Looking at the map I would say I ended the war in about 15 turns from losing most of my army (I am invading eygpt) but I have most of the yellow west of those 2 orange cities... I managed to win religious. I think my big mistake there was not adopting police state and thinking large garrisons with monarchy would get my through the weariness

I think you just didn't bring enough siege :p But it's your mod, so I don't know exactly how the strength ratio of siege is there.

That's an odd patch of desert...

That's what you get if you give Egypt a bunch of 2F 1H tiles, I'd say :p

Well they do deserve those 2 food :p they are stuck in plains land after all... I was thinking of balancing this with only providing 0.5 hammers on the tile but I don't know if that will work...

wait a minute have you got it? How else would you know about the 2F :p
