Alternatively, settle another city with overlap on some of those pigs so you can actually take advantage of all that food!

The dead monkeys from your signature would probably be delicious if wrapped in bacon. Bacon wrapped bacon is so delicious it is potentially lethal (they claim it is things like the fat or cholesterol or things like that, but clearly it is really the unbearable deliciousness).

Actually you knew you were in trouble long before that. you were next to Shaka who had a big empire (and therefore lots of production) and he wasn't friendly at you!

He already attacked me once, and I ended up beating him and taking one of his cities. Then I signed peace for a while, then a couple of AI's declared war on him and one of them asked me to join. I said "sure, why not," since Shaka's well behind me in tech and lacks some resources, and I was planning on DOWing him soon anyway, giving me Cavalry, Machine Guns, Airships, and Infantry against his hordes of Riflemen and Grenadiers. Said Riflemen are actually a threat when there are 20 million of them.
