What's even more immpressive is that your maceman took out an infantry.

Not as impressive when you learn that the maceman had been upgraded to an infantry unit. (I think it had spent some time as a rifle first.) As I recall it was a C-1, CR-3 infantryman (but may have been C-2).

I think a person can add gold like that using the World Builder....

You can edit the WB save file and add any amount of gold. The WB is limited to 5k.

It wasnt a real problem as it was a modding test game, and I wasnt going to play it anyway. It makes me wonder though how it could be possible at all, since start locations are usually boosted, even if near ice, but this was certainly wasnt
